busy week around here!!!

we went in for a scheduled repeat csection on friday morning and baby followed quickly after! not much of a 'birth story' - doc said csection went perfectly, i had healed well from the last one and things were complication free. as soon as he was out several people in the room commented on his 'perfectly shaped head' lol. just like his brother, hats will not stay on him since his head is too round.

i am surprised at how different this recovery has been from my last one. some parts are so much easier (because it wasn't preceded by 36 hours of labor) but some parts have been harder. very interesting to me. days 3 and 4 were the worst, yesterday was day 5 and i felt about 1,000 times better than even on day 4 (the day we came home). taking it easy still, letting DH do all the baby fetching and managing.

baby is great. latched right away, my milk is in and he's eating a ton. yesterday at the first pedi visit he was back within 2 oz of birth weight, so i expect we will be there soon. my blood pressure shot up on sunday so i'm on meds for that, but this happened to me last time, so not unfamiliar territory. i go for a one week check next monday. baby doesn't need to go back until 2 weeks old. so far, so good!

He is so cute! I'm glad to hear your repeat c-section went well. I've got about 11 weeks until my repeat c. Good to hear recovery went better without the labor first.

And now I'm laughing to myself because you reminded me that after my DD was born, a few people also commented on her "perfectly-shaped" head. I never knew quite what to say!
