cramps after pelvic ultrasound?

I got a pelvic ultrasound yesterday, after was fine but after midway through the ultrasound I started feeling crampy and still do. I think I am feeling more achy than crampy now.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how long did the cramps typically last for?

I dont remember this with my pregnancy with DS.

I don't think that it makes sense that the cramping is due to the vaginal u/s. It might just be unrelated, normal uterine cramping and round (?) ligament pain that comes with early pregnancy.

Yes I’ve had them plus some blood discharge after every one I’ve had. (I’ve had 5 transvaginal u/s from 7 weeks through 24 weeks) I’d reach out to your doctor if they last more than a few hours/evening.

pandora89 I had multiple pelvic u/s with #1 & #2 since they were fertility babies, and I often had some cramping/spotting afterwards. I was told that's pretty normal. It usually resolved by the next day. I'd check with your OB just in case though! They always told me better to call and it's nothing!

Thanks everyone! Cramps subsided about 24 hours after the ultrasound. I emailed my RE and he said its probably related to the ultrasound since my cervix is probably super sensitive right now.
