I can't take advantage of the extra hour of sleep for some reason. I was wide awake at 6:30.
I am still recovering from being sick after my race yesterday, so I cancelled spin class. I do want to try for 2-3 miles of running later this morning. I will be going super slow as I am not feeling up to pushing the pace.
I’m up and enjoying coffee before my run. I’m waiting to run until the coverage of NY marathon starts, so while I’m on the treadmill I can be inspired by those running today. It’s really making re-think my No Marathons in 2020 declaration. Haha.
I ran a half this morning and my unofficial time is 2:00:01 lol. We’ll see if I squeaked by with a sub 2 when the official results are posted. I’m thrilled in any case. This training cycle has been less than stellar to say the least and I was expecting more like 2:05.

That one second would drive me bonkers! Great job either way! Did you see any Tedy's Team people? There are a bunch of them running that race and wearing their singlets. Fingers crossed you squeaked in.

Good luck to those racing today!
I am watching too and was thinking "Hmmm should I try?" just as I got a text from my friend saying "Should we try for NYC for 2020?" I think you should. I can't decide myself.... I think it would depend if I get into Boston through my running club.

Ha like lilypad1126 I’m also waiting to run (until after the marathon, although I did just see the winners so I should get going). I’m also looking into NYC, Chicago, or Twin Cities right now for next year. It’s been almost 3 years since my last and I’m finally starting to enjoy running again! We may be leaving Houston, too, so training through the summer won’t literally kill me! 😂
katyintx , I went through the entire process for the early 50 for the 50th entry for NYC and then was too chicken to actually apply!
Ha me too! But I did set myself a reminder for the end of this month to apply for Chicago before theirs closes.
Hey, I set myself a reminder for Chicago too! AND, same as melmel48, I started the process for 50 for the 50th and then stopped. NYC logistics literally scare me. Like, I had anxiety this morning talking about it over coffee with DH. I’m ridiculous, I know.
And, I just texted my running coach, who I’ve told a million times that I’m focusing on speed in 2020, and was like, so here are my thoughts, but still maybe I shouldn’t? He wasn’t real helpful either way, haha.
Andplusalso, I’m in the interview process for a new job. Which, if I got it, there’s no way I could run a fall marathon in 2020. But sure as heck, the only way I’ll get it is if I enter 2 lotteries 🤣🤣
Cancelled my Sunday yoga class. It was a new teachers first class which the school offers free. While the idea of a free class sounds great they always have more people then can comfortably fit in the room so I decided to forgo. Did a 3.5 mile run instead.

I went to a spin class this morning.
I thought about entering the NYCM lottery, but I already have a deferred registration for a different November marathon, so I probably shouldn’t sign up for another one.
Congrats jane6672! I'm looking forward to reading your race report!
melmel48, I pulled the trigger this morning and put my name in for the 50 for the 50th. I'm not holding out hope that I'm going to get in through the lottery, buuuuuut I can't stop thinking about it, so here we are. Good luck!
