Anyone want to help me shop for gifts for my family in Charlotte? My sister is pretty anti-stuff. I am looking for a place for her and my 3 year old niece to get a pedicure or some other "kid" spa type experience place. My nephew is 7 but is a little anxious/nervous about rough and tumble type stuff that my DS loved. I am looking for something for him and my BIL to do together. Also looking for a gc for my sister and BIL to do something fun or for dinner. They live in the Lansdowne area.
Yes! Agree with sadlebred. The Discovery Place is a really good kids museum. Does nephew like art? DD is into art and loves those places where you pick a piece of pottery and glaze it. Is a ropes course too rough and tumble? My DS loves those. Is he into sports? Maybe tickets to the UNC-C basketball game? Or a GC for one of those arcade/go carts/laser tag places?

He would probably enjoy going to a game. I don’t think that he would do a ropes course. He has played flag football but hasn’t done any other sports. They watch football but I don’t think other sports on tv.

Check out Inner Peaks for your nephew. It’s an indoor rock climbing place. Would that be too scary for him? He could definitely do that with his dad, and it’s near their neighborhood.
As for a kids spa, I personally don’t know of one, but most places will do kids too. You could check out My Bella Spa, I’ve had good luck at their locations.
Day passes to the whitewater center would be fun for all.

Yes, both my kids (5&8) love painting pottery. Dish It Out and Paint Ur Peace are two that are close by. I personally like Dish it Out much better.

Ditto Discovery Place. Hockey tickets?
Thanks. I’ll bookmark Inner Peaks for a few years. I think he wouldn’t want to do it and if he did and failed (which is inevitable) he would get frustrated and mad. I don’t see him too much so I’m not sure how he has matured in the last year.
