We just moved back to the east coast from Colorado and the humid air is making styling my hair more tricky. I have long blonde naturally straight hair that I like to give a wave too some days (particularly a few days after washing). In CO I could use Chi Infra Texture hairspray which has more of a light feel. I do not like heavy duty hold sprays for the most part but I need something stronger for this area.
Any recs for hairsprays with good hold that don't feel like helmet head? Any suggestions for products to help my waves stay? My hair is fine and slippery and wants to be bone straight. The dry climate helped my cause but now even just stepping outside flattens my hair .
I have super stick straight hair and no matter what products I use, the only thing that really seems to work is curling with a flat iron. Even then, it still relaxes very quickly when there's any humidity. Doesn't matter what hairspray or anything else I use.

I like the Aveda Air Control hairspray. It's pretty good at holding hair in place (it's what I use on my daughters if they need their hair slicked back for a performance), but it's also not too stiff. It doesn't make your hair feel crunchy or anything -- you can still brush it.
