My weekend was nice but I really could have used another day. But then, isn't that always the case?!
Friday night I went and did laundry at my parent's place and had dinner with them. My washing machine is broken but I'm trying to hold out for maybe a cyber Monday deal (I don't do Black Friday shopping - you could give it to me free and I still wouldn't brave the crowds). I haven't done any research and have never bought a washing machine so I need to do that before buying something anyway. Share recommendations on what to look for if you have them.
Saturday I slept in and then my Mom came over. We went shopping and then to the movies. We saw Last Christmas and it was SOOOO good! Go see it!
Sunday I worked out in the morning, did some organizing, then sat my happy ass by the pool. It was 70 degrees but windy so a little chilly actually. When I was bored with that I took a long walk on the beach. Then I ran errands...Target and Publix.
My weekend was productive but not a ton of fun. Still, it was nice to get so much done on my days off.
Thursday morning I went to the dealership for a recall on my car, then went to my morning tap and jazz classes. I had lunch with a friend and we chatted for a while. Then I had my private practice, then my evening tap and jazz classes. I took myself out for pizza afterwards.
Friday I ran errands. Costco, Sephora, and then a little wandering around the mall. I also got a 15 min free demo for assisted stretching and signed up to do it at least twice a month because it was amazing. I had my evening hip hop class and went home to collapse with exhaustion after. My abs got *really* worked out this past week. I can still feel it.
Saturday I spent nearly 4 hours at the mechanic (bye bye $$). Afterwards, I went to Target and bought some Christmas decorations. In the evening I did laundry. It was a super glamorous weekend. I ended up feeling melancholy for a good chunk of it, but I think I'm doing a little better now. Work helps.
My weekend was good. Friday night I hung out with friends and lived it up in a private area at a basketball game. All the food/drink was on the house. Saturday I went out to help support our cities new ruby team and then went to a party with some friends. Sunday was chore day. I rode my bike to my yoga studio, did laundry and got stuff ready for my vacation that starts next week!!!!
kaneen, make sure you go with a brand made in the USA because it’s easier to find parts and people to fix them if they should break. Top brands - Maytag, whirlpool, kenmore. I have a Maytag front loader I got in 2012 that has been doing great with no issues (knock on wood).
Weekend was nice, A’s family was in town to help us with a baby shower. Thank goodness because my back has been hurting so bad I have mostly been out of commission. A few trips to the chiropractor the last few days and hopefully getting back on track.
Otherwise the party was very nice and then it was nice when everyone left yesterday and it was quiet. My tolerance for being social lately is pretty low because I’m so tired all the time. Dogs were way overstimulated so they have social hangovers as well yesterday and today. 😂

doglove glad to hear the shower was good!! I can imagine you need some time to reset afterwards. Hosting people is a lot of work even when you're not pregnant.
Hey! I had today off - woohoo bank holidays, I guess. I STILL DO NOT HAVE THIS FLIPPING JOB OFFER, although the recruiter did touch base with me earlier today to confirm it's in process. Apparently they needed me to actually fill out a job application before they can send me the offer, LOL (this was a "tap on the shoulder" kind of job opportunity, so I just went in for a series of interviews without actually applying for the position). Anyhow, they've had that official application for a whopping two hours now. I feel like the offer should just be automatically sent out to me, even if it is long past standard business hours
I have to go into the office tomorrow, and I was really hoping to be able to give my notice when I see my boss face to face, since we're remote most of the time. Oh well, boss and I have to go to NYC together on Thursday, so I guess I have a whole plane ride to tell her? Talk about awkward - a 6am flight is not when I'd prefer to break that kind of news.
Anyhow, my long weekend was great. I really took advantage of today - the lawn got its (hopefully) final mow of the year, I planted some bulbs for spring, walked the dogs, walked the horse, got my eyebrows done, and just got home from a massage. I like these kinds of Mondays!

kaneen, are you looking for a top load or a front load? I have a consumer reports subscription and I can screenshot and send you their top models, if you like.
tiramisu, hugs. I'm sorry you were feeling melancholy.

I know it's not Monday but why not just keep the thread going?
I was off yesterday and spent much of the day reading. I started Bad Blood and it's really good. It was enjoyable to lay around and not do much. I'm current sitting around planning the rest of my vacation days for the year. I have so many to use that I will lose them if I don't burn some. I think I need to be better about taking time off during the nice weather! Although, I am taking some days off after the kitchen is done so I can do a deep clean of the house and put my kitchen back together. I'm really looking forward to that!

I think I'd prefer front load and would love the screenshots if you don't mind! Thank you!
Weekend was good. Saturday was AMAZING. I went to the Gopher football game where we beat #4 Penn State. After the game we joined the thousands of other fans on the field. It was one hell of a party that continued into dinkytown (the area around the campus) and we had an absolute blast.
Sunday I had to work and was quite tired from all my Saturday festivities but I survived.
I have today and tomorrow off and really need to do some more unpacking but I am really not feeling motivated. You would think the site of boxes all over would motivate me but I guess not.

Thank you. I think I'm having some old stuff come up that I need to work on healing and letting go. I'm thinking that will help me start feeling better. I also think I'm going through a lot of change right now, which is always unsettling.
I HAVE MY OFFER. I FINALLY HAVE MY OFFER! Woot! It's not *quite* as high as I'd asked for - I asked for the moon, they came back 5k under. I told them I'm thinking it over, but I am 100% going to take it. Now I'm just playing with match and numbers to see what my annual total comp will be (bonus is higher, 401K match is higher, etc).
I am so freaking thrilled that I can leave my current job, but I also feel terrible for my current manager, who I love working for and who is going to be left in a lurch She and I have a whirlwind trip to NYC tomorrow (up on a pre-6am flight, return flight at 5:30pm). I don't really want to have this discussion on the plane, but we have 3 hours of meetings with her boss, who is going to task me with an additional "special project" (ie more work) and I really want to be able to say "nope, I'm out". But having an "I quit" discussion at 6am on a plane is really unappealing.

I was on another board and saw this and somehow, I don't love cows, but I love calf faces... It makes me smile and I hope makes others too. Soooo goofy.
kaneen, I love my Samsung washer/dryer. I also love the top loading washers b/c they hold more and don't get as smelly with natural soaps (drain better and dry out better). After doing dirty diapers in a front loader and having 3 kids (lots of laundry), I went back to a top loader and it's sooooo much better. But depends on your space.
I am ready to SCREAM at work right now. So much frustration. Omg. People making things about 500x more complicated than they should be. It is killing me. My boss is one of those people so i can't really vent to her.
My car needs new tires and a few other things so it has been in the shop since yesterday.
However, a new aldi opened in my neighborhood so after i get my car im going SHOPPING, yo.
gault you are describing the past 18 months of my work life. Hugs
Update: I countered the job offer, after telling them how excited I was and how much I hoped we could work out the numbers. They are going to have to go back to whomever is the approver/decision maker to see if they can make it happen, but in the meantime I've been offered a 5K signing bonus. I am internally squealing and hoping I can have my "shoot for the moon" salary, too.
