I am really trying to go no/low toys, especially the usual plastic, cars, guys, etc.
We are getting annual passes to Disneyland for all of us, as our family gift this year. The kids will still get stockings and a few little gifts I've picked up off of Facebook or at a consignment event, but I'm trying to keep it minimal. My inlaws are getting all of us new Disney luggage from Costco, which I'm DYING over. It's so great. From other people, I've suggested:
5 year old - Legos (especially Disney or other favorite character sets) - Kinetic Sand - Key chains for his backpack (apparently this is very popular at school) - Bat man rain jacket and boots - Extra "trick" rockets for his stomp rocket - Wikki Stix - Rivbos sunglasses - Bunch o ballons (mass fill water balloon set) - Thermos brand character water bottles and food containers - Lego storage containers - Inflatable outdoor decorations (he really wants these - freaking LOVES them in the yard) - Favorite snacks (chocolate kids clif bar)
Almost 2 year old - Matching Batman coat and boots - Bigger, warmer sleep sacks - Extras of his favorite lovey animals (angel dear and WubbaNub) - ChooMee pouch spouts - HatchBaby noise machine/light - EZPZ mat - Super thick muslin blanket (construction print) - Favorite snacks (annie's fruit snacks)
I'm really trying to stick to things that they either NEED but in a fun print/character (like clothes or school stuff or whatever) or something they'll use up or consume (like art supplies or food), or something that can be stored away in a small space.

Gah I’ve got a couple of smaller things for each kid and convinced the 4yo to ask Santa for a Barbie house. I had gotten the Kidkraft Savannah on an awesome sale and I think she will be really into it & making up stories with it, etc.
My almost 6yo though is convinced he wants to ask Santa for the paw patrol mighty lookout tower. He already has the regular lookout tower. And I’m surprised he is still on the paw patrol kick- I’m already a little worried he’s too old for it and kids will start making fun of him. The mighty lookout pictures all look like it is aimed at toddler/preschoolers & Id hate to spend that money on something he may or may not like for another few months. I haven’t thought of anything else fantastic to try and convince him to ask Santa for though..
DS (2 in January) is getting lots of puzzles, a shape sorting cube (he's got a bucket but is ready for more complicated shapes), a doctor kit, a folding slide and a balance bike, plus some PJs and summer clothes.
We got our money's worth with our folding slide. Ours was the tall Step 2 one that is green and tan. All 3 kids loved it. It was used heavily for years. We just got rid of it last year when DD, our youngest, turned 6 as she was too tall. We kept it indoors and it was so nice to have in the winter.

I'm super excited for it! We live in WI and winters are long, so it will be nice to have something fun for inside.
DS1 (7.5) Lego ninjago set solar system kit swim training fins
DS2 (5.5) Scooter outdoor game small lego kit
THen suggestions for other people Tough walkie talkies (we have had kiddie ones but if we get proper ones, the boys can use them when they go to their friends houses who live a few doors away) soccer boots lego
DS (10th bday is a few days before Christmas) - Laptop (his 10th bday present) - TickTalk 3 Smartwatch (and added to our phone plan so we can have GPS/he can make limited calls) - Computer accessories (keyboard cover, sleeve, stickers) - Bakugan - Blank "draw your own comics" book - 400 piece puzzle - Manga books - digital drawing pad
DD (nearly 3) - Everyday Anna dress (https://www.etsy.com/listing/605874843/embroidered-snow-sister-princess-dress?ref=hp_rv-6&frs=1) - Tinkerbell costume - Disney Princess comfy clothes dolls (she saw these in the Amazon catalog) - Frozen duplo set - Pretend makeup set (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0779NYQH9/?coliid=IS4R1CSL7437&colid=2MGYCDS467POZ&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) - toddler appropriate jewelry - Bakugan (so she can play with brother) - Mudpuppy jumbo puzzles
So far she's getting: unicorn lap desk, robot unicorn (from Santa), extra Fitbit band, a couple poly bag lego sets, some books, tie dye kit, and I plan to buy her a spy kit.
Trying really hard to rein in the junk and get useful things. Especially because we'll be out of town.
DD10: * Ipod (she's asking for this or a Karaoke machine - so Ipod wins!) * maybe the Blinger thing that puts gems in hair? * a set of books * maybe a new ice skating jacket or pants * In the stocking - hydroflask, slime, gift card to tillys, bubble bath?
DD8: * Ipad (the old one broke last summer) * toy wise I'm kind of stumped - she saw this in the Amazon catalog, but DH and I think it looks really junky: www.amazon.com/Kindi-Kids-Snack-Friends-Pre-School/dp/B07NSTW7BT/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=doll+kid&qid=1574097698&s=toys-and-games&sr=1-1, I did buy the fur real dog that Costco had for a huge discount, but I don't know what she'll think of it. * a bag for her activity * some sort of book set * In her stocking - beanie boo slippers, water bottle, gift card to Justice, bubble bath?
I bought the adult version of Ticket to Ride because we've been getting bored of the Junior version. That will be a joint gift. We're also going to contribute to the sleepaway camp fund and let them know that's part of their Christmas gift.
Ugh I’ve asked my kids to give me realistic lists. They keep telling me things like iPods, phones, hoverboards, Nintendo switch, none of which will happen.
So far probably they will get:
13 yo DD: - Sherpa quarter zip jacket - White Fila tennis shoes - maybe a hammock chair and stand? - maybe a real easel and canvases and paints? -?
10 yo DD: - sandisk MP3 player - matte black skate helmet and decals/stickers - maybe a how to draw book and nice sketching pencils? -? -?
8 yo DS: - sandisk MP3 player - black skate helmet and decals/stickers - maybe a tortilla blanket? -? -?
C is 6.5. Her big ask is an Occulus Go. This would have been a no but her grandpa asked if he could get it.
From us or Santa: Lego HP Clock Tower set A robe with pockets The Alex and Ani Deathly Hallows Necklace Bath Bombs Tiny Pong (no idea she just keeps asking for it so I ordered it) HP Lego video game
From others: Board games Hatching Toothless Yoshi’s Crafting World for the Switch
We leave for Disney the 27th so I’m sure she’ll get some Disney GCs too.
DS just turned 2, and I want to get him a slide, some imaginative play toys like food, and fabric/plastic books he can’t destroy (board books live a short life here before he snaps the spines). He doesn’t need much because not only does he have plenty, but he also isn’t quite at the point where he grasps the concept of Christmas so has no expectations.
E1 (4) is getting this giant Hot Wheels garage thing (thank you Target pre-BF sale). He'll need some cars in his stocking to go with. And the Osmo little genius kit since the regular genius kit is a bit too advanced for him. I also found some Batman reusable snack bags I think he'll like to take to school.
His wish list is like a mile long. He wants ALL THE THINGS.
E2 (will be 9 months) is getting some clothes, a Harry Potter lovey thing (probably in the stocking), and E1's hand me down jolly jumper.

We are going to have SO much stuff coming into our home between us, the grandparents and aunts. What she'll be opening from us/Santa so far: Police Car Power Wheels (her big ask) This hot dog cart www.target.com/p/our-generation-retro-hot-dog-cart/-/A-53003858 with matching doll, and I'm second guessing the whole purchase. It's just a lot of pieces and I feel like I'll regret the clutter a scooter that lights up for her stocking a set of kid's silicone knives because she like to help in the kitchen, some new books and colored tabs for the bath Purchased from her Amazon list by grandparents: Buzz Lightyear armor vest thing she saw in the Amazon catalog, PJ masks vehicles and figurines, Baby Alive Doll, Baby Born Baby's First Cozy Coupe, some pet carrier thing and a dog that walks and barks.
We need to do a serious purge before Christmas to make room for this shit. Problem is she's a hoarder who flips her shit when we get rid of stuff so we have to do it on the sly or we never hear the end of how much she misses Random Item that she never played with in her life.

Can you please post a link for the dog that walks and barks? DD is asking for a toy dog.

Between us and Santa, my 4.5 year old daughter is getting a Kidkraft house for Barbies, a Ken doll, some Magformers to add to what she already has, two Polly Pocket friend dolls (the larger ones), books, Anna dress up dress and shoes, and tinkerbell dress up shoes. Oh, and some Disney princess Magic Clip dolls from Ebay.
From the grandparents I know she's getting a camera and camera bag, set of Disney princess dolls, crayola scrubbie pets, Barbie art notebook, Frozen dress with fur shrug, Minnie Mouse carry on suitcase, and Anna and Elsa dolls. (We're going to Disney World in March).

7yo girl wants: rollerskates, a skateboard, craft kits, slime.
3yo boy wants: paw patrol tower, a steam train that fits his tracks. He will get a different paw patrol toy I bought in a Facebook group. I think he will like it.
They will get flannel sheets and holiday pajamas and probably a few knickknacks.
DD (8, turning 9 next week) is getting a Hydroflask, Harry Potter Legos, film for her camera, and a few AG accessories for her birthday. Christmas I’m thinking a caboodle filled with hair and nail accessories, nicer art supplies, a volleyball, a Switch game, and a few more AG things.
I’m torn on the AG stuff. She doesn’t play with it much but she still really wants to add to her collection. AG is 75% of her list. We will see.
I have a similar problem with DD (7). As H says, "She likes *owning* AG dolls. Not actually *playing* with AG dolls."

I’m veering toward useful gifts this year because they aren’t really asking for anything specific and I’m sick of buying toy vehicles. Both are getting a sleeping bag, flashlight, and possibly rain boots from Santa, along with digital watches and hats/gloves in their stockings. I think they will love the sleeping bags, they’ve been begging for us to start camping but we own absolutely zero camping gear so this can be a start.
DS1 will also be getting a kit to teach him how to make his own Lego stop-motion movies. Kid loves You Tube, and Lego. Still figuring out what else to get DS2. I asked him what he wanted and he told me “tall socks” whatever tf that means.
Santa - new Pokémon switch game, bubble bath, art supplies FIL - bikes my mom - rock tumbler & rock polisher MIL - books aunts/uncles - random small toys
