I don’t always participate in all of the discussions but I really like the book suggestions. I try to read most of them and have read some really great books as a result. Thank you for all of your work.

I appreciate all your efforts too. I think I read about ten of the books this year. I'm not into horror or romance. I plan to keep reading. Besides the monthly books, I appreciate all the suggestions in the threads about what people read last week or month.

Even though I don't participate in every discussion, I look forward to reading most of the books for the year and like reading the threads to hear what others thought. My biggest issue is that I don't buy most books, I request the kindle version from the library, so sometimes I don't get it in time, or sometimes I request it too early and I read it and then forget most of it before the discussion.

I definitely read them all, even if I don't participate. It makes me read books that I normally wouldn't and I like to read what other people think about the books. A lot of times when I don't participate it's because I don't have anything new to add that hasn't already been said.

I have to getting my timing synchronized next year. I get most books from the library too so I read them when I get them which could be months before we discuss.

I voted to continue at 12 a year. I know it can be a PITA to set up the categories/voting and essentially “run it” when you’ve no doubt got a million other things to do, but I appreciate it! The board has helped keep me motivated to read different things, and be inspired by what others are covering. I think there’s a value there to many of us.

ufcasey how are you feeling about being the lead on this? It seems like it's a lot of work to organize and remember to post each month. If we do continue, would you want to delegate some of the work?

Yes, please let us know if it would be easier if a few people take the lead for different books. Whatever makes it easier to keep this going.
Well, it looks like the book club is definitely sticking around I'll give it a few more days to see if the 6 books a year vs 12 books a year votes change, before moving forward with polls on which books we'll select for next year.
I appreciate the offers of help! I mainly need it for the book club discussions posts themselves because I have been terrible this year at remembering to post on the designated book discussion day (the last Wednesday of every month). So if it's noon or later and I haven't posted about it yet - please go ahead and start a thread! I won't be offended in the least
Well, the poll is almost tied between having 6 books a year versus 12 for book club discussions. The poll was set to expire 11/27, so I guess I'll wait until then to decide how many books we'll do for 2020. I probably won't get to creating the polls for voting on the actual books until the first week of December, so keep an eye out for that
