1. How far along are you?
28+2
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
I keep waking up on my back at night- freaks me out every time. Also so ready to check on baby boy on Tuesday. And, hooray for maternity pants at Thanksgiving!
3. Questions for the group?
Not this week!
4. What will you/you baby come home from the hospital in? Will you take special pictures at the hospital/when leaving?
Baby will likely come home in the same outfit as his sisters. A sweet little Feltman Brothers cream pants and kimono outfit. We will take newborn pics and do a meet the sibling video at the hospital this time. This will take the place of professional posed newborn pics for us. The newborn pics last time are BEAUTIFUL, but they were stressful and I was so tired. I wanted to do something a little different with each kid and I think having the moment they meet their brother documented like this will be very special to me!

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? We go to a nice restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner every year, and I'm disappointed that I won't be able to stuff myself as much as I usually do. I get full so easily these days! It's a buffet so I'll have to be very strategic when I'm filling my plate.
3. Questions for the group? None this week.
4. What will you/you baby come home from the hospital in? Will you take special pictures at the hospital/when leaving? I have no idea what she'll wear. I still have the outfit DS wore when he came home from the hospital, but I think I want something different. We'll wait to do newborn photos at home.
swiftlyirun, I keep waking up on my back, too! (With my cat snuggled between my legs most of the time, lol.) I asked my doctor about it and she said not to worry and that I'll know if it's causing a problem.
Let’s start the week off right! Tell us all about your babies!!! 1. 10w! Going to get the requisition form and do my blood work for the panorama test either Thursday or Friday! 2. Not much 3. Nope 4. Probably the same outfit DS came home in. I have to go back and look at pictures to remember what it was. I hope its still in useable condition. It wasnt anything special, just a cute sleeper. Although this baby will be born mid/end of June and it can get pretty hot here so will have to see.
2 I’m tired of the back and sciatica pain but loving all the kicks. I’m trying to enjoy these last two months since this is my last baby.
3 Maternity tights suggestions? Has anyone tried one of those abdomen binders post cs before? Do they actually help with pain?
4 I’m wearing sweats, anything loose around my incision. I have a cute little outfit from Carter’s for her. We are just doing cell phone pics at the hospital. I’ve hired someone for her newborn session plus I am also a photographer so I’ve been planning her shots.
I decided I was finally going to join in this week.
1. 12 weeks today
2. I’m excited for our NT scan tomorrow. It’s fun to see how much they grow between ultrasounds. We also got our NIPT results back this past week and are so excited we’re having a girl. H and I are already discussing names.
3. Any thoughts on international travel during pregnancy? We’re on vacation when I’ll be 24 weeks. We were thinking about Japan, but would be open to other suggestions as well.
4. Baby might come home in the same sleeper as big sister or I might get something different. I don’t think we will do special photos at the hospital, but will likely try to do newborn photos.

I used a binder after my C-section. I think it was helpful in stabilizing my muscles to help with changing positions. I was able to walk back and forth to the NICU to see my son soon after my C-section. I didn’t use it as much once I got home as I didn’t feel I needed it after discharge.

I found some yummy ginger candy/snacks for when the queasiness is the strongest through the day: Prince of Peace Mango Ginger Chews. They still have the strong ginger flavor, but with a bit of mango too. It's a candy that I can suck on (it's very, very get-caught in your teeth chewy, so I recommend not just chewing), and it helps me get through the day.
3. Questions for the group?
This is a general question about going to big sporting/entertainment events while in the 1st trimester, please let me know what you think, if it's definitely too much or I shouldn't worry about it so much Sorry for the WOT below.
This weekend might be a very busy one for me, and I'll be entering my 7th week (Saturday, 11/30), and I'm nervous if it might be too much. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts or ideas to make it easier. Thursday - I'm traveling about an hour via car to have Thanksgiving with my extended family. We'll probably stay there for about 4 hours, then head home. Friday - Day off of work - it's the big state rivalry College Football game at 1pm. H and I are season-ticket holders and plan to attend. We'll be attending a tailgate with friends. I hope to head home after the game, with traffic, we should be home around 6-7pm. Temperature highs are predicted at 38 degrees F right now - eek. Saturday - a day of rest. Sunday - Between these two weekend days I feel like H and I should take our dog on an extended walk or to some dog-friendly brewery to give him attention and get energy out. He's 10 yrs old, and about 10 lbs, but all terrier-energy. So that will be another couple of hours of doing something. Monday - Day off of work, I have tickets to the Monday Night Football NFL Game. We're in row PP or QQ, WAY UP in the upper bleachers. Last game I went to (not pregnant) I felt winded after the trek up that high. It gets dark by 5pm nowadays, and low temps are predicted at 29 degrees F. It's a Seahawks game, so it will be VERY loud every time the Vikings Offense is on the field (the visiting team). I really want to go to this game, it might be my last Seahawks game for awhile - we don't have family close enough to babysit, ever... but I can see the whole experience being too much maybe. Tuesday - Day off of work - and a day of rest. I go back to work on Wednesday.
4. What will you/you baby come home from the hospital in? Will you take special pictures at the hospital/when leaving?
Right now I'm taking this whole pregnancy one day/one week at a time. I might give some thought to this after I hear a heartbeat.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I ended up in L&D last night for another awful UTI. It came on so quickly yesterday and it was really painful. They had to check me for preterm labor which included a cervix check which was so painful I thought I was going to pass out.
3. Questions for the group? Which monitor did you get? I prefer one with a separate monitor. I want to get it on Black Friday sale.
4. What will you/you baby come home from the hospital in? Will you take special pictures at the hospital/when leaving? I don’t know yet. The hospital has photographers that I will use.
Let’s start the week off right! Tell us all about your babies!!!

I have been a slacker about posting. 1. 37+1 2. Growth ultrasound today has baby at 8lbs 15 oz already. He has been consistently 96-98th percentile at 30 and 34 wks too, so unless he comes early this week, we are scheduling a C-section for 39 wks. I’m just exhausted and super swollen. BP is fine though. 3. Anyone else get varicosities in their vagina? Oy, not pleasant. 4. I have no idea what the weather will be like. Packed a loose knee length dress but now I’m not sure. Baby has a few outfits packed since I am not sure what size he will be. I have a cute robe and onesie to snap a pic in during the hospital stay. We’ll have newborn photos at home though.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Feeling good, chiropractor is helping my SI joint issues along with a yoga video and block to strengthen my pelvis muscles. I feel like a normal human being again not in excruciating pain.
3. Questions for the group? Glider or rocking chair? Our nursery room is so small, I think only a rocking chair will fit.
4. What will you/you baby come home from the hospital in? Will you take special pictures at the hospital/when leaving? Not sure of the outfit yet, but the lady who did our maternity photos will do our newborn ones at home once we get settled. Our maternity photos came out so lovely so I can’t wait to see her work on the baby.

We got the Infant Optics DRX-8 monitor. It has a separate base unit and cameras that you put in the baby/kid’s room. We have two cameras and it easily scans back and forth or you can set it to view one camera. It was super easy to set up.

madDawg228, I would probably attend both games as long as you're okay with the cold temperatures and don't feel too nauseated. I went to a nighttime college football game at 12-ish weeks and I was fine.
Let’s start the week off right! Tell us all about your babies!!!
1. How far along are you?
28 weeks 5 days
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
Had my baby shower on Saturday, got lots that we need and not as many clothes that I expected, which I’m happy about. Started getting the house easy for the baby. Decluttered the new nursery and new guest room so we have a solid start.
3. Questions for the group?
Not right now
4. What will you/you baby come home from the hospital in? Will you take special pictures at the hospital/when leaving?
I bought a football onesie so if that fits that’s a possibility, not really sure yet. Haven’t decided about photos yet. We shall see.

Let’s start the week off right! Tell us all about your babies!!!
1. How far along are you? 32 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Had an appt w MFM today and she is measuring in the 80th percentile. Already she is 5 lbs at 32 weeks. My son was a peanut and weighed 6.5 lb at birth (40 weeks exactly). I know that their measurements are sometimes off, but I think she's going to be bigger than her brother, for sure.
3. Questions for the group? Anyone know of any good black friday deals for baby gear/clothes/stuff? I'm ready to clear out the registry. I wonder if I can stack registry completion discounts with BF deals. I imagine so.
4. What will you/you baby come home from the hospital in? Will you take special pictures at the hospital/when leaving? I've yet to figure this out. Probably a cute set of PJs. I should start working on that. Maybe for black friday.

Oh good question- I’m going to put this in a separate post!

1. How far along are you? 35 + 3
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? This coming weekend will be 3 weeks from my induction 😲how did we get so close.
But it’s been a crazy week. On Thursday, my dentist called asking if I was ready to start treatment. Apparently, back in July, I had some cavities that they failed to mention. So we started going back back and forth if they needed to be filled before delivery, particularly considering my artificial heart valve. Then Friday, my BP was high at my non-stress test, so they wanted me to watch for pre-eclampsia symptoms. And then today, I leaned I have a granuloma in my nose that might start hemorrhaging during delivery and so needs to be removed before the baby comes. 😫😫
3. Questions for the group? None this week.
4. What will you/you baby come home from the hospital in? Will you take special pictures at the hospital/when leaving? My husband picked out a Philadelphia Eagles sleeper. The nursery is Eagles themed, and he’s being named after an Eagles player, so I expected nothing less. We’ll probably do cell phone pics, but have newborn pics scheduled for sometime in January.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Growth scan tomorrow.... should see how giant baby is & how the fluid situation is going.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What will you/you baby come home from the hospital in? Will you take special pictures at the hospital/when leaving? I’ll just wear my maternity jeans home with a tank and hoodie like I did with the other two. Baby will wear the same sleeper the other two wore. No fancy pictures in the hospital, but I did make these shirts and sleep sack thing for the three to wear when the big kids come meet the baby at the hospital. We will have our family photographer come do newborn photos at the house a week or two after it’s born.

2. At my anatomy scan, I opted to participate in a research study where they drew my blood to evaluate it for proteins that could signify increased risk for preterm labor. It came back 7x the average, so now I’m on daily progesterone. Not thrilled about it. I have had two term deliveries, although I was fairly dilated at both of my 36 week appointments...
3. Progesterone tips?
4. I’ll probably go home in yoga pants and a nursing tank with a sweater or something in top. Haven’t decided for baby yet. We’ll do newborn pics at home when she’s a week or two old.

3. Progesterone tips? .
I’m sorry your numbers were so high! I’m interested in this study. I had a preterm delivery with DS and I’m finding myself more and more anxious with this one. More than I expected to be. If you have any info to share that I should ask either my MFM or OB about I’d love to hear it.
Regarding progesterone, is it an intramuscular shot in your rear end (PIO) Or something else? I have done 2 different kinds of progesterone shots with this pregnancy. My best advice is to ice the area for about 20-30 minutes before. Also progesterone makes me moody. Sometimes irritable, sometimes weepy. It helps me to know that I’m feeling a certain way because of hormones, not because I’m losing my sanity.
jorja - how did they prescribe progesterone? Suppositories? Oral? I take vaginal suppositories at 200mg. They found a short cervix shortly after my anatomy scan when I had some bleeding. I’ve been on the suppositories since week 22. I’d recommend putting them in right before you go to bed and stay laying down for at least 30 minutes. I also use a panty liner since it creates a lot of extra discharge - especially in the morning. So far it’s working for me - I’m almost to 32 weeks.
Ugh, yes, suppositories. I’m the opposite of excited about them, lol.
It’s further complicated by the fact that I work night shift, so one day a week (the day I start back to work), I just take a nap when my kids do and don’t really sleep...so not sure when the best time to do them that day is. The nurse just said “before your longest stretch of sleep”, which is less than helpful.

The good news is I think you only have to be laying down 30 minutes with them in for you to benefit from the meds. So I would do what your nurse recommended. Good luck! They are messy and can leave some dry, irritated lady bits. I’m thankful for them to get me 10+ more weeks though.
