Everything went really well! I went into surgery around 8am yesterday and was out a little before noon. I started waking up from general anesthesia then (which sucks, btw - it's so weird - you're groggy and want to be alert but you can't), and once I was more awake, I could be discharged. I got home around 2:30 from that. At that point, the pain wasn't too bad, but it did kind of burn (I've been taking percocet). I felt better after I took a nap in the evening and I also took some phenegrin (sp? nausea meds) which knocked me out but also helped me feel better when I woke up.
I slept pretty good last night, all things considered. I basically slept in 2 hour chunks but was able to get back to sleep easily if I woke up. I woke up pretty sore this morning, both in my neck an chest. Neck from how I slept, I think, and chest from surgery, obviously. At 2pm, I went and got my drains out, which was easy and they redid my dressing. I go again next Friday, where I think I'll be able to have tape removed and wear non-surgical bras, but we'll see. Everything looks good according to the doctor/nurse and I feel like I'm recovering pretty well. I'm tired and napping a lot, but that's also a s/e of the pain meds. Oh and I've been able to eat pretty regularly, too.
Overall, I'm happy I did it and I haven't even really seen the results yet!

I am so stoked for you! I'm glad it went well and that you're already happy you did it. Is someone helping out with the kiddos? How long before you're able to pick them up and such again? I'm guessing it's kind of a long time, right?
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
Lyss - my doctor actually gave me no lifting restrictions b/c no muscles are involved. I'm trying to avoid picking up Scarlett though b/c picking her up is like wrestling an angry alligator most of the time. She's kind of rough and will kick out or push on me, so that's my fear w/ her. My mom was here on Wed/Th/Friday to help and my ILs are coming tomorrow to help out next week so MH can go to work if he needs to/wants to (he works from home pretty frequently/as needed).
