I am procrastinating at work and just got my stitch fix box. It had a cute light olive cardigan in it that I liked but I have a dilemma. What do you wear under cardigans to look more dressy?
It was also $44 so I’m debating whether I should even keep it or not. Their suggestion was another sweater which makes my arms feel claustrophobic just thinking about it.
ETA a pic of the cardigan. What do you think? Keep or not?

There is a guy in our legal department who retired a few months ago. This guy was well liked enough that there were several retirement gatherings for him over the course of a few months, which I would consider extremely unusual. My office is near the IT folks and I saw him talking to them earlier this week. I was very confused. It was confirmed to me today that he is back as a full time employee. I find all of this rather confusing.
Our construction project is giving my frustration. Our mortgage refi is giving me frustration. Work is giving me frustration. And I have inlaws to deal with tomorrow, which will.. you know. Frustrate me.
Also DH somehow thought that when I sent him to the specialty grocer for a "nice loaf of bread" (ie: challah) because Lucky's selection isn't very good that I was looking for wonderbread. He's currently doing the rest of the grocery shopping for tomorrow and I'm kind of terrified of what other gems I'm going to find.

I am so grumpy right now at work. Just do not feel like being here, but did not want to burn up a vacation day. Wish I was at home with DH and the kids!! I would LOVE to be able to leave a little early, but who knows if that will happen.

I've been MIA due to having to get a new phone and not taking the time to log in. Finally did last night.
Our house is closer to the finish line. I wanted to be done last weekend but that didn't happen. New target is moving the weekend of 13th-15th. Cabinets went in yesterday, floors go in next Tuesday, and countertops will be next Friday. I'm getting ready to start tiling our shower.
Other than that, the only other thing going on is getting ready for the Thanksgiving marathon and trying to not get blown away by all the wind we have today. It's really, really strong.
Just trying to kill a half hour at work. Then I'm off until Monday. Tonight, I'm taking DD to a local ice rink to try hockey. I think she only agreed to it so that she can ice skate. She knows how to ice skate really well, so it will be interesting to see what happens when hockey gear and a stick are added. Tomorrow morning, I will be running in the local Turkey Trot. Actually, I'm doing a double gobble, which is 5K plus 5 miles. I'm starting to question my decision since it is going to be pretty cold in the morning. But it benefits the Y and local food bank, so I can make it work. We don't have to be at my parents' house until 3, so I plan on taking a hot shower and a nap. Friday will be a lazy day and Saturday will be T-day part two with the in-laws.
I picked up my mom's frozen pies last night because they were on sale at Albertsons for $0.99. I got an extra and popped it into the oven when I got home. DD and I enjoyed an okay Dutch apple pie with our dinner last night.
It is almost noon and I'm still waiting for payrolls to come in. I'm getting very annoyed or maybe I'm just hangry for lunch.
I’m still in a mood- might be PMS. DH yelled at DS this morning because he asked DS to help with the trash, but he threw his football at the hamper instead. DH’s general personality is annoying me today. He was cranky when I got home because he wants to fix something now he wants to go shopping. I’d rather be at work.
Speaking of work, we had a partial power loss and had to close early. I was sort of happy but now we have double the work on Friday and less staff because everyone is on vacation. Then I got to come home to cranky pants, and I’m cranky so... Plus who wants to go shopping in this wind? And now I am cleaning my house because I am hosting so it’s not like I am doing something fun. We did go out to eat but he didn’t coordinate anything with me and expected it to be on his timeline so I had already eaten something. Ugh.

Part of me thinks it’s cute. Part of me thinks the color is too light. Most of me already has a ton of cardigans, so I’m torn. I’ve been wearing mine with blouses because the weather has been reasonable enough to get away with that. When it gets really cold than that doesn’t work for me.

Yes. I’m so torn. I don’t have many cardigans mostly because I’ve converted to blazers to be dressier and this definitely seems more casual. But could be great for Friday. If I can find something to go with it.
School just called. DD is up in the office with a headache and they took her temp and it was 101 the first time and 100.5 the second but she doesn't feel warm but they think I should come get her because she is asking to go home. I told them it would be at least an hour as I finally got my last payroll and I have a 30 minute commute. I'm not calling my mom for an emergency pick up for a I don't feel good can I go home deal.

I am so glad I took this week off as my boss texted me to tell me that it’s sooooo slloooooow. The kids and I cleaned up the yard, mulched, planted, cleaned the house and put up all the indoor Christmas decor and it isn’t even thanksgiving yet! I’m cooking dinner and drinking wine at 4:45.

sandandsea, I like the cardigan but don’t love it. I wear them with blouses, long sleeve or short. I like a more structured cardigan over a more frilly blouse for casual days at work, personally. .
I usually take the kids and run a turkey trot on thanksgiving morning but it is pouring down rain in San Diego, and supposed to continue for the next couple days. I haven’t signed up yet and plan to make a game time decision in the morning. There is very little to do here that’s indoors.
I had a crazy day at work trying to get things done since we go on vacation Sunday night and I won’t be back on the office till 12/10. T-3 days till vacation.
Got to school 5 minutes before the bell rang. DD was asleep in the nurses office. Woke her up after school was out and she was bright red and looked like she had been sobbing. Got her cleaned up and calmed down(she wakes up very cranky). got her home and she showered and now she is bouncing off the wall and starving.

Ugh we are feeling trapped by the rain too! Dd is sick (apparently her pneumonia never cleared two weeks ago) and contagious so we are stuck at home but I couldn’t even send them out back to play in the yard because of the rain. We had to change our plans for tomorrow to avoid exposing everyone else so tomorrow will be another quiet day at home. 😢
