I did the old school excel spreadsheet. My struggles were thinking of new foods, calculating carb weights—I had such a hard time keeping up with that!
I’m thinking the app would help me. I need a push. I did this back in 2017 and was as low as 10 lbs under my normal weight and had my fastest running times. I felt so strong and looked so strong.
Then I went on anxiety meds when my husband deployed (and stayed on them for a while) and I gained 27 lbs in a year. I ended up going off of them and I’m back down 10 lbs but can’t manage to get back to my “normal” weight. I’d be happy to get to that baseline, I don’t even need to go under.
Has anyone tried the app? Do you think it’s easier than the original version? It’s on sale for $129 a year for Black Friday.
I never used the excel sheets but I like the app. It learns and helps you adjust your macros weekly. They just added a bar code scanner and that was a game changer. I love you can throw in a few things you are going to eat and it balances them to meet your macros for the meal. Bottom line I lost 10 lbs on my first cut. I just started maintenance and am looking forward to my next cut.
I can’t do it. I feel awesome when I’m on it but it takes so much mental energy I can’t keep up. I cancelled the subscription before it will bill me. I think I’ll make a real effort to eat template foods and meal prep, but just not do all the weighing or timing. I figure that’s better than nothing.
Yeah I get that - it took me about a month to get it figured out to the point I wasn’t glued to my phone trying to figure out what I needed to eat. I was at a point I needed that type of focus, now it’s become much easier. Good luck with the templates
