stephm0188, check out Senita athletics. I think most of their shorts (the double layer ones) have drawstring AND pockets big enough for a cell phone. It's my new favorite cheap brand.

- running gloves that are actually warm - I probably need a buff?

I prefer mittens when it’s very cold. They keep my hands warmer than gloves. Brooks and Oiselle have good running mittens. If you definitely want gloves, I have some North Face gloves that are good. But I still prefer mittens on very cold days.
