Just looking for some inspiration, I’m just 30 weeks now. My photographer sent me some tips for newborn family session suggesting to wear lighter neutral colors, avoid busy patterns etc. My newborn girl will probably just be swaddled, but I need something for me (a solid maxi dress maybe? I only have dark colors) and an idea for my DD who wears a 2T. Don’t wanna spend much on my outfit because I’ll be newly pp. Help?
I went low key for our lifestyle newborn pictures. I wore a soft pink top with jeans. I put DS in a couple of plain or neutral tops (one was blue stripes, the other a gray big brother shirt that matched DDs little sister onesie). My husband also wore a striped blue shirt.
My mindset was I wanted to look/feel comfortable but also like I was literally just hanging out at home. I rarely wear dresses, so had I worn one for our pictures it wouldnt have felt normal for me. So I say go with anything you feel good in PP, the pictures will be great as long as you feel comfortable!
I’ve always just work a black or gray top (or tank top), sometimes with a solid colored cardigan over. For sibling pics, I did just plain gray T-shirt’s or for my last baby, plain white T-shirt’s and liked the simplicity of it (however, all of my older kids are boys)

I forgot about our pics until the night before. #newbornlife I wore jeans and a burgundy tshirt. My H wore a blue button down I think. They turned our perfectly.
We did ours at home and i wore dark colors because that’s what I am comfortable in. I wore a navy sweater and black maternity pants. My H had to go to work after so he dressed for that. The photographer picked a neutral swaddle for the baby.
