I don’t like that he is pointing out weaknesses, but playing devils advocate, think of his testimony in a different way. He is laying out a roadmap to impeachment that could/would gain bipartisan support. I don’t think slowing down proceedings would necessarily be a bad thing.
My issue with him so far isn't that I disagree with him (which I do), it's that certain things he's saying are just wrong or seem to be conveniently leaving out important facts.
I agree it wouldn't be bad to slow down the process and that it would be better if the process was more bipartisan (and I'm including Justing Amash on the R side here even though he's now I). But it's not fatal that it isn't.

It’s also nearly impossible to take these people seriously when most of them had a strong pro impeachment opinion about a blow job, but the multitude of trump crimes just don’t meet any standards!!!!!!!! It’s just laughable.

But him saying that impeachment should be a slower process with bipartisan support, ignores that there WILL NOT be bipartisan support because the GOP are not operating in good faith.
If the GOP insists the sky is purple when it is in fact blue, that doesn’t mean we get to throw our hands up and say ok.

And this is where I become dejected, because even if things were better off going to the courts and using actual crimes (which I believe are obvious crimes, and I think Turley is hinting at that!) to lay groundwork for impeachment, there is virtually no way anyone leading our country will agree on what is or is not a crime in this scenario, justices included. McConnell, et al. have done such a bang up job dividing Congress and this country that I do not believe there is any way to move forward in any meaningful way. So what are we left with?
Chuck Rosenberg just made the brilliant point that if Turley/ R’s are so concerned about ‘racing through’ the evidence on this, albeit pretty speedy, timeline, why don’t they refer to the Mueller report that also lays out absolute evidence of obstruction, but was nowhere near speedy. Can’t have it both ways, chumps.
This definitely screws their “Dem’s have been trying to impeach Trump since Day 1”: PUH-Lease!!! No, they held off on impeaching until that blatantly bride-riffic Ukraine call came to light thanks to a whistleblower!
I’m so pissed at how R’s are blaming D’s for worsening partisan DC’s age-of-rage & how this hyper-partisan procedure is going to ruin American’s ability to self-govern. (Throwing quotes/ phrases from Rep Johnson’s (R, LA) current super-ranting speech that did nothing but give quotes to Fox & make 45 like him better.) They were going to impeach Hillary on Day 1, but now blame D’s for exactly the same, even though obviously false. If they want to know who’s causing this “age-of-rage” check out one of 45’s weekly rallies!
I didn’t like Swalwell the presidential candidate, but I like Swalwell the congressman. I could see a future for him as judiciary committee chair or maybe some day CA senator or even US AG. He’s good when he’s in his lawyer element, and he appears to take that part very seriously.
Also, fuck Matt Gaetz.
And I really wish Adam Schiff were chairing this heating, too.
I was confused about the Rs freaking out about something Karlan said about Barron but according to tweets she was explaining that a President’s kids are not nobility and said, “So while he can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron.” This is such a good example of right wing faux outrage. It doesn’t even make sense to think that’s an insult.

I know!! But they’ve gobbled that up, “Insulting the President’s 13-year-old son?!?” Um no. Not even close to an insult! But I’ve even seen moderate/ not-super-hardcore R’s all siding with “Yeah... We should just leave the kids out of this...” OhMyGosh. Glad to see others asking where the defense of the Obama daughters was/ is? Or even Greta Thornburg as a more current example of blatant hypocrisy. But apparently hypocrisy in the time of #45 knows no bounds.

Yes this exactly! I wasn't fond of him as a presidential candidate in the slightest, I was stoked when he dropped out, but he's right where he belongs right now.
Hubs & I have an on-going list of people who need to be smacked with a dildo on live TV and Gaetz is on there with Jordan and Nunes.

(Prob stealing this wonderful idea, TIA) Please add Mitchy ASAP:
That comment is going to derail this whole process. It is the scapegoat the gop is looking for to distract the narrative.
I am also now now worried for her safety. I can see Trump getting extremely nasty.
I missed something - what was the comment?
Karlan was expounding upon 45’s obvious desire to have power over everything/ basically be King of America, & said, in an off-handed manner, to close her argument of POTUS’s accountability: “While the president can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron.”
To which the right is FLIPPING🙄 PUHlease Birther:
(That she quite obviously didn’t write, as she can’t speak English this clearly. Be Best.)

This is the only thing the right will take away from this.
Ripping brown babies away from their parents and locking them in cages...no problem. A privileged white child's name is mentioned innocuously and the GOP flips their shit. These people are evil.
