I did the Chicago marathon back in Oct and since then my fitness has been slacking. I moved to a new more expensive city about 8 months ago and in order to save money I decided not to join a gym. But now that marathon training is over and it's winter, I don't think I can rely on just running for fitness. I was thinking about just doing workouts at home, but I think I also want the social interaction of a gym/classes.
I was thinking about joining a gym with a pool, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards. In my city there are actually some decent pool options outside of gyms for little money, so I think I'll do that once I start back tri training.
Last week I found out I got in to the Berlin marathon, so I'll be doing that training starting in the later spring. But in the meantime, I need to get my butt in gear.
Due to my schedule I can probably do classes about 2 times per week. I'll run and do yoga at home to supplement the classes. I thought about crossfit, but it just seems so expensive for 1 or 2 times per week. However, I've been looking in to class pass and it seems like a good compromise. The plan I'd get is $79/month. There are several cross fit studios that are on class pass near me. My overall fitness goals are to get stronger and just overall improve my fitness.
So any experience with class pass? Should I just go all with cross fit? Thoughts? Thanks!

That's awesome about Berlin!
I haven't used Class Pass but have friends who love it. If you're specifically interested in doing CrossFit, I'd check first about the class times available via Class Pass - gyms have the option to restrict CP usage to certain times, and it would suck to pay $79 only to find out you can't actually go to the classes you want. Otherwise if it costs you less via CP than a box's direct membership, and you can go to the exact same classes, then definitely enjoy saving money AND having the option to do other workouts as well.

Yes I checked and the gym I was looking at is on there and it seems most of the same times are available. I haven’t signed up for the free trial yet but from what I can see there’s good availability.
Do you think doing CrossFit once a week is still "worth it?"

Yep! Twice a week would probably be better, but 1-2x will still get you good workouts that should complement yoga and running. No idea about Class pass. Sometimes gyms have a punch card, which is nice if you don't actually know how many classes you'll go to, so you prepay for like 10 classes and if you miss a week because life happened, you're not paying for the classes you missed.

It's worth it in the sense that any physical activity is always going to be worth it, and obviously you'll get the calorie burn/conditioning benefits from each time you go, but the strength benefits will obviously be greater if you go more regularly.
Also, if you aren't familiar with the movements, I'd try to go more regularly at first so that you can really learn the basics of the movements that require more coordination and technique. If you only go once a week you'll only see some movements like once a month in a workout, so each time you're going to have to relearn essentially from scratch.
