“With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent,”
It's a sign of the times that as I was reading it, I kept thinking that it could have been a great 4-6 episode podcast.
It's funny that you mention a podcast. Just this morning my Mom emailed to suggest I listen to a podcast called "the Jungle Prince" on The Daily (which is from the NYT). I haven't listened or read, but it must be the same thing!

Yep it’s a short three episode released yesterday by the Daily. I stumbled upon it and it was fantastic.
Your title says “not politics” but in a way it is. This story touches on the effects of the India/Pakistan divide which was and still is definitely political. My parents are from India, my dad was born right before the partition. I feel like even though I read this story with curiosity and kind of guessed at how the mom pulled this off, they wouldn’t be phased by this story. I think it’s good the article reminds us how colonialism ruined cultures though the readers of The NY Times are probably educated enough to know this.
Thanks for sharing, I wouldn’t have came across it otherwise.
