Please? I just looked at my last US report and it listed my due date and then the due date based on the measurements and it was 11 days earlier. My dr didn’t mention this so I’ll ask when I see him this week. I know they don’t like to change the date, but they’ll likely induce me at 38 or 39 weeks because I’m AMA and they’re watching my BP which is still ok for now. I’d be excited if they took me slightly earlier. I’m So uncomfortable already at nearly 32 weeks. 😩 Has anyone actually had their due date changed??
My dr moved my due date up a week at 36 weeks. I went in for my appt at 36 weeks and they said it was time for the GBS test, and I was like, hold up, I KNOW the butt swab isn’t until 37 weeks! Then they said they “forgot” to tell me earlier but that it was based on my 12 week ultrasound, which also makes no sense since I did IUI and had tons of very early ultrasounds so I knew the exact dates. I had wanted a RCS at 39 weeks, so it worked out, they just insisted I was actually 40.

See and I’m the opposite. I was on the pill and basically didn’t get periods so I have no freaking clue when I conceived!!
The guidelines a doctor uses probably vary somewhat, but FWIW my friend who has been measuring 2 weeks ahead was told by her doc they don’t change due dates unless measurements are off by 3 weeks minimum since they’re less accurate for size/weight as you go on, so that first dating U/S at the confirmation appointment is essentially gospel. She’s super frustrated with that because she is due 12/30 and they’ll only schedule a C (her first was an unscheduled C) a week early so 12/23, and she’d like to go in a few days earlier so they can be discharged before Christmas.

That stinks when she’s so close to Christmas.
Agreed. She’s AMA so has another scan Friday and is hoping they’ll let her schedule for the following (20th) instead of the Monday before Christmas. I mean I can’t imagine the hospital wants her there over the holiday, so maybe they’ll let her go three days earlier because of staffing? Fingers crossed that they do or that she goes into labor earlier on her own.
I’m 36 weeks with twins and my dr won’t consider doing my RCS before 38 weeks at this point. The earliest I’m able to schedule it is 12/24, ugh. So I scheduled it for 12/27. I was really hoping to do it at 37 weeks and be home for Christmas!
I hate this arbitrary dating of pregnancy using last periods. Why can’t they just use the baby’s age at time of ultrasound? My baby is 5 days ahead (conceived that far ahead because I have short cycles) so in the case I have to be induced (would be a joke after all that short cervix business) the baby will almost be 42 weeks. Lord help me.

I’m also AMA and was induced at 38 weeks last time due to BP issues late in third trimester. They told me they won’t let me go past 39 weeks, but we’ll see what BP does and if they’ll take me earlier again.
I was measuring ahead later in my pregnancy with my daughter and I wanted them to move my due date by just one day so I could have my OB do my cs but they wouldn’t move from her first ultrasound. I was 38w6d on her hospital day and they wouldn’t perform it before 39w so I had a stranger instead.
I feel ya about being uncomfortable. I’m also 32 weeks and I’m much more uncomfortable with this pregnancy than my other two. 7 more weeks....

I did BBT monitoring since my cycle is a bit funky and I could tell you exactly which day I ovulated, conceived and implanted (3 days later than by LMP). However, they used my 12 week appointment as a dating ultrasound and moved my due date up to 11 days ahead of LMP, which put me at a full two weeks ahead of my actual due date.
I gave birth at 16 days after my due date (so 40+2 based on the actual timing). My Midwives let me go a bit late since they were swamped that weekend and they had my original dates. I had absolutely no medical concerns at the end.
