MoveOn.org is organizing mass protests for the day before the House vote (hopefully they'll do one before the Senate vote as well). You can search by zip here for events near you.
The argument though is that the Senate will shoot it down right? So there is no reason to allow it to give us any hope.
While the Dems absolutely had to do it, I do worry that when the Senate doesn't convict, it will just bolster his base's belief that he's a legitimate president who can do nothing wrong, and it will only end up helping him out in 2020.
Everyone's afraid of that. But the alternative is that we all emperor's new clothes his flagrant violations of the law. So, you know. This is the least shitty option.
Did anyone watch the GOP response? Whoever it was literally stood up there and said (generally paraphrasing) "I hope no other congress ever does this."
Now, that was a paraphrase, but he flat out said he hopes no other congress ever takes the step to impeach a president. Not "I hope no other congress ever HAS to do this."
For me, that shows exactly where they are now. They are no longer loyal to the Constitution. They are loyal to themselves, their party, and Trump. Not even "the president," generally (which still would be wrong, regardless of who's in power). Just him, and themselves.
So fuck every last one of them, as well as anyone who supports them. This is wrong, and they know it. They just literally don't care.
That was Kevin McCarthy, aka the GOP House Leader.
He's also the guy who made this gem of a comment before the 2016 election: “There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump."

As long as it's the GOP. if the Dems take over and do the EXACT SAME THING, they'll be throwing shit and chanting "LOCK THEM UP" left and right.
If the Senate doesn't vote to impeach, how do we know the foreign involvement in the election process will stop?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, this whole process is confusing to me.
Even with the unlikely chance that the senate does vote him out, I highly doubt that will stop foreign interference. I’m pretty sure if Clinton were president foreign interference would still be a thing, just with different tactics.

I completely agree with this. Barring a full bi-partisan effort to stop it, I don't see how we avoid election interference. The best bet we have at this point is state officials who take the necessary steps to avoid it with proper machines, paper ballots, etc. As for influencing how people vote, forget about it. That ship has sailed in my opinion. There's no going back from this with the internet as it is now. People have to think critically and we all know that's a big ask in this country.

Yup, that's why I said they had to move forward. We can't be enraged with the GOP for not standing up to Trump because it's politically expedient for them, and then be willing to let the Dems off the hook if they do the same thing.
Tomorrow at 7pET: 41 members of House Judiciary will give opening statements at 5 minutes apiece. Thursday at 9a: Committee will vote on amendments and ultimately approval of the articles of impeachment
The Center for Public Integrity received 146 pages of Ukraine documents from the Trump administration "that had been almost completely redacted by the government. Every substantive exchange between officials at the agencies was blacked out."

I don’t think this has been posted/ have searched, though, I promise. The Utter Hypocrisy:
Please just hook this video of Lindsey Graham saying it would be a good test for Republicans if one of their own was up for impeachment directly into my veins. (Hiding the video from 1999)
Trump met with Rep. Jeff Van Drew, a New Jersey Democrat, on Friday, to urge him to switch parties and become a Republican. Van Drew, an impeachment opponent, is considering it.
