Have we done this yet? What are you getting your significant other? I always manage to snag a few ideas when we do this. So far I purchased a year long subscription to Marvel Unlimited (yes, my H is a geek, lol) and a pair of PJ pants (he always seems to need more). I might look for some good coffee for either C or the pets to give him. I'd like to think of one or two more small things.

College team coffee tumbler, gooseneck kettle for pour over coffee, nice bag of coffee from local spot, scarf for work clothes and some little stuff for his stocking (mini Maker's Mark, fancy venison jerky, etc.).
A few different shirts, winter gloves, Under Armour, wool socks, and stocking items - chocolates, deodorant, mini Nutella. I get him a Christmas tree ornament every year and I would like to find some other small things. I’ll probably look for some craft beer as well, but I don’t really know what he might want in particular.
Maybe some Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. One of my old haunts in Newark carries it, their website says ... I have Friday off so maybe I’ll take a drive over there and buy some. The shop also has some yummy chocolates and old-timey candies so that’ll be good for more stocking stuffers.

I am SOOOOO excited to give my H his gifts.
His big gift is a visit with a sea otter at Shedd Aquarium. He LOVES otters. He is going to flip! I keep teasing him and telling him to get to stretching so he'll be ready for the flip on Christmas morning.
I also got him Luigi's Haunted Mansion for Switch, big spherical and cube ice trays for cocktails, a Bathroom Reader trivia book, a shirt with Smudge the cat on it (the meme with the cat sitting by the salad), and a pad for his stocking that is just paper games.
I got DH the new Bose wireless noice cancelling headphones.
I also got him a bad dad joke of the day calendar. I got him one last year too and he loved it and loved telling the jokes to the kids.
He’s also getting in his stocking a nano flashlight, chocolate covered cherries, chocolate covered sunflower seeds, some fishing bait, boxers, some freeze dried smoothie thing for camping, and peppermint chocolate candy.
H is getting a weighted blanket, and I'm putting a Quip toothbrush in his stocking. And probably some sunflower seeds. We also bought each other a washer/dryer set on Black Friday, and that's already here and set up.

My H has always loved penguins so one year I did a similar thing with the penguin contact at Mystic. Which was a 3 hour drive for us, so I did a whole weekend getaway for it. He still talks about it, and it was...15 years ago?
My H is getting a new iPhone 11 pro, with case. Then he will get a pipe because I broke his. Then stocking stuffers (bottles of booze, scratch tickets, toiletries, socks, candy...etc)
Stocking is chocolate and a cologne sampler. Maybe something else I'm blanking on. He already got wireless earbuds early for our cruise.
He asked for a drone, so I got that and then clothes. He never wants to spend money on clothes for himself, so I hit up the local Tommy Bahama outlet and got him a shirt and a sweater pullover.

That's so cool! We're a nice mellow train ride from Chicago, and I managed to schedule the encounter on my H's birthday, so his birthday present is going to be the trip that I plan around the otter time.
Quite honestly, I'm marveling at my genius. I'll never top this.
We don’t exchange gifts. Our anniversary is also in December and we usually do a nice date night out at a fabulous restaurant somewhere we both enjoy. However, we are car shopping on Friday and will be purchasing a new (to us) car soon so that’s a huge gift IMO.
@mrsgreeko, good call on the headphones. I have a pair from work that my H stole from me and is obsessed with.
Yeah he has an old pair of wired ones that he loves. But he got me wireless ones a few years ago and is super jealous of mine when we fly together. And he’s flying to Hawaii next month for work and we are going to Japan in May so he will have a few good long flights to use them on!

DH is usually pretty easy, as he's a moviephile so I just get him the movies he's asked for, and maybe a video game. I usually get him a fun graphic tee, a kitchen gadget of some kind.
The only thing my H asked for was some new Dewalt tools, so my mom and I combined what she would have spent on him and what I would have spent and got that. I'll also grab a few stocking stuffers and probably some new work shirts for him.
DH is a foodie and loves to cook so I got him a bunch of stuff from Food52. Also a draft beer growler, a new fancy cocktail shaker, and some decor items for our new media room we are renovating (which is his renovation baby lol)
And I just realized i have nothing yet for his stocking

We each buy our own big gift because it's easier that way. I did get him the book Hamilton and a Santa's Pipe candle. I'm thinking of getting him some nice olive oil or maple syrup and some loose tea for his stocking.
An underquilt for his hammock, a new (better) sleeping bag, a bike multi-tool, and a coffee Hydroflask from REI. I stuck to an outdoorsy theme this year - it is all stuff he wants but won't buy himself.
