2. Had my first Ob appointment today! OB who I had with DS retired so I had to find someone else at the same hospital. I like my new OB, hes really nice, seems to be punctual and didnt seem to rush but he's not my old OB who I miss so much lol. I also have this irrational fear that our NIPT results came back wrong for gender and I am going to buy all this girl stuff and baby will come out a boy. I have no idea why lol.

4. We have to decide if baby will be sharing a room with DS or if DS will move to our now guest room and we will make that his new big boy room. Also have to decide if DS will be going into a bed or if we are getting a second crib so no idea. I dont think we will redecorate the current nursery, its currently pretty neutral with just animal prints on the wall. The walls is a pale blue and we may end up painting that but not sure.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? We have had family staying with us on and off since Thanksgiving and I feel like I have been stuck in a non-stop cleaning and laundry cycle. Between that and the standard Christmas rush, I am ready for some down time.

3. Questions for the group? None this week

4. Nursery themes? Will baby be sharing room with any siblings? Nope, not sharing.  I'm not really doing a theme, but I bought a couple of these animal prints for the walls.

2. As long as everything continues to go well, we plan to announce our pregnancy at X-mas Our dog has a t-shirt that has "I'm going to be a Big Brother" with tiny baby footprints on his back. We'll let him run around and see who notices first. We'll be with a small group of close extended family members (on my side). My ILs are spread out (the Southeast and SoCal), so we're sending them cards to facilitate announcement - either to wait for a call at XX:XX time, or something like that.

3. How did you announce your pregnancy to OOT family members?

4. Nursery theme: Not yet. The nursery will be in our 2nd bedroom. It's currently our "stuff that has no where else to go" room, so it'll be a big project to start in the New Year/2nd tri. The walls are a creamy butter color, which will be a great neutral for whatever colors we pick to accent the room. I'm partial to purples, blues and greens.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? DS has been super snuggly lately, and I am enjoying our time together as his only child status is coming to an end.

3. Questions for the group?

4. Nursery themes? Will baby be sharing room with any siblings? No real theme, we’ll be moving a bunch of stuff out of DS’s room in a few weeks (not his crib, but his nursery was basically a guest room with a crib thrown in, so we want to move the guest stuff so I can sleep in DDs room as needed and get DS some toddler furniture). DD and DS will not be room sharing, though we plan to have DD with us initially in a pack n play or bassinet so “her” room should remain unoccupied for a bit.

urbancowgirl that’s a lot to handle even when not pregnant, I hope you get some down time soon!

madDawg228 We told the ILs over FaceTime, everyone else we just did a FB announcement. I got a shirt that said “beauty and the bump” and we had a onsie with a local team on it for baby.

38w5d #3. The most I’ve ever been pregnant by several days.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
CS scheduled for Thursday afternoon! Baby is still measuring giant, and that combined with issues from my second’s vbac, and not having made any progress yet had us schedule a CS. I’m so ready. The next day or so is full of prep and getting everything ready to leave the kids with Mil.

4. Nursery themes? Will baby be sharing room with any siblings?
“A baby lives here” lol. It’s the same baby room that the other two used- the only theme is that the colors are turquoise, orange, green, etc. Nothing fancy. It’ll have its own room.

Most likely be induced at 38 weeks. Sh** is getting real with about 6 weeks left.

When did you really set up the nursery? Still have a bunch to buy and to get the crib and changing table from my brother. Plus move everything out of the nursery to make room for the baby’s things.

We’re going with a elephant themed nursery, first baby so he gets his own room.

Not sure on theme. Currently the crib is setup in our guest room. Honestly thinking of sleeping there the first few months. We have a main floor master. Older DD roomed in our room which was fine but I think this will work better.

2 I’m having so many contractions and it’s driving me nuts! They’re not usually painful but they are so frequent. My OB said it’s fine as long as they don’t get too painful. Usually lots of water helps them stop.

4 she will have her own room. This is her bedding and we will do her decor to match, navy and corals with white furniture.

2. I cannot believe how round my stomach is. My clothes are tight and I feel like a blob. Not enjoyable in the least.

3. Not yet.

4. Probably no theme beyond baby room. First kid, so they will have their own room.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Been feeling pretty good, got a pregnancy massage this afternoon I got for myself for Christmas! My Dad gave us a very generous gift which allowed us to get all the rest of the things on our registry with the amazon completion discount.

3. Questions for the group? Increase in discharge is normal as I get closer to the end? I’ve been on progesterone suppositories since week 22 so it’s been fairly consistent, but I’ve seen an increase over the past few days. Only two more weeks of suppositories left to go thankfully!

4. Nursery themes? Will baby be sharing room with any siblings? We have a dinosaur theme. We’ve gotten a lot of flack for it because our baby must be a boy if we use dinosaurs. 🙄🙄 We don’t know the sex, but my H loves dinosaurs and thought it would be a great theme. Baby will be an only child so no shared room.

doglove we know we are having a girl but I totally kept dinosaur clothes for her from DS, and the first thing I actually bought for her was a pink T with a dinosaur on it that Carter’s had marked down. Come to think of it, one could argue that since all the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park were female that they’re actually a girl thing

Had BH consistently for 3+ hours every 3-4min on Saturday... that was unnerving. Now I’m just being overly sensitive about everything

Baby will use the same nursery our girls did- it’s gender neutral as we didn’t find out the gender with our first. We tried to have the girls share a room, but it didn’t work out for now. Now I’m in the middle of moving the guest room to the basement and making the guest room a room for DD2- exactly what I didn’t want to do at this late stage but oh well!

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
Just got blood work done to check for cholestasis. I've been crazy itchy lately and then I found out my mom had it for her first pregnancy. So, I'm feeling pretty confident I have this issue. If I do, they will move my c-section up to 37 weeks instead of 39. I'm panicked because we are not ready. There's so much to do!


3. Questions for the group?
Anyone have experience with cholestasis? What did the end of pregnancy look like for you.


4. Nursery themes? Will baby be sharing room with any siblings? Her theme is bugs/insects and I'll be pretty happy with it once it's finished (whenever that may be).

1. How far along are you? 33 weeks

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Looking forward to growth ultrasound next week! Contractions are random and uncomfortable, putting on socks and shoes is a challenge and sometimes the way this baby moves makes me feel like she’s trying to dig her way out through the front of my abdomen.

3. Questions for the group? No.

4. Nursery themes? Will baby be sharing room with any siblings? No sharing rooms. The bedding set Is pale pink and turquoise and has some unicorns and stars/moon so that’s a theme I guess? I have some star decals for the neutral greige walls, white furniture and and pale pink black out curtains. I’m all about simple and not too busy at this point. Dd1 has owls as her theme and same greige walls. If the girls want to choose a more involved color scheme or theme when they’re old enough to ask, I’m cool with that. Lol.
