Anyone read this? It's about a mediocre college professor whose mom left him when he was a kid, but then shows up as a political activist all over the cable news; the book gets into the whole back story and his search for answers about his mom's life.
I'm listening to the audiobook now, and am about 80% through. It's so good. The POV skips around to different characters and different time periods, but it's woven together really well. It's quite long, but so far completely worth it. Highly recommend!
I read it last year. It was definitely long and slogged a bit at times. From what I remember, The sections at the end were the best part of the book and really pulled it together.
