Happy New Year, everyone! My sister had a baby yesterday so we celebrated our new niece last night! Other than that, I spent a glorious day in bed reading.

Christmas was good. We re-started our tradition of hosting the family Christmas party and had nearly 20 people here--it all went smoothly and we had a great time. Did some after-Christmas shopping just in the last couple of days and picked up a few things to update my wardrobe (desperately needed).

Overall it's been a pretty chill holiday season. Well, once I got my self-review done which was stupidly due on 12/27. Those things are so annoying.

Congrats on the new niece, RockNVoll! Is it L's baby sister? How is he adjusting?

I'm back to work today (well remotely) after a glorious 1.5 weeks off. It was a great mix of spending time with the kids and shipping them off to daycare so we could do fun childfree things with friends. I'm kind of ready to get back to the routine though, none of my pants fit me right now and I need to stop the overindulging insanity!

scm1011, yes, baby sister for L. It's only been a couple of days so hard to say how he's adjusting, and I haven't personally seen him with her yet. I heard he was a little afraid of breaking her, but ultimately there's the most adorable picture of him holding her with the boppy...
