Super excited to get the Ulta 20% off. I’ve needed to replace my Clarisonic brush head plus I’m almost out of the cleanser and both are 5x the points plus the Hey Honey face serum is half off Monday. Pretty good deal for all 3:) Also Becca needs to bring back those blush soufflés. I’m finally realizing how amazing cream blushes are and there’s not that many to choose from now.
i prefer cream blushes for everyday wear too (so quick and easy) and right now i like a milk stick i have and a NARS multiple stick. i want to try one of the NUDESTIX next. if you haven't tried them yet i recommend them!

I really should try more of Milk’s makeup. I love the hydro grip primer.

I got a little set of three of their sticks awhile ago. I don’t love the highlighter - it travels quite a bit on my skin, but I do love the blush!
i have 20% off at ulta and over 2,000 points to use and can't find anything i want. any suggestions - if you had free money to blow at ulta, what would you get???
I started using a brush to apply liquid foundation for the first time in my life (I was always using my fingers for the past 25+ years). I love it!! I switched from Tarte BB Tinted Treatment to It Cosmetics CC cream and got a brush and my makeup is completely different. I was really nervous about trying the brush but I've done it two days now and feel like I kind of know what I'm doing.

How do you put on a cream blush? I have only ever used a pressed powder.

I always use my fingers. The milk is a stick, so I just dab it on my cheeks then blend out with my index finger. The Becca soufflés or any other potted product I swipe my fingers in and blend out.
The sticks are my favorite though. It’s what I keep in my “5 minute face” bag. It’s applied 95% of the time as a passenger in the car while DH is driving. It’s a tinted primer, eye liner, shadow sticks, blush stick, highlighter stick and mascara. I pull a random lipstick from my purse (i keep a red, pink, and berry in there all the time). No brushes or tools needed. Done, probably all really in like two minutes if I didn’t wait for stoplights for the eyeliner and mascara.

My skin has been so dry lately! I think because of that every foundation I've tried ends up looking too matte. I'm masking before work today in hopes that it'll help get my skin back on track. I'm also still thinking about trying more foundations since I'm not completely sold on any of them yet.
I pick up the blush with the brush and apply directly to my skin. It blends it out really nice.
Thanks. I am still wearing a drugstore blush even though I use nice skincare and the rest of my makeup is nice brands. So it's prob time to upgrade my blush when this one is gone.

I decided to try reusable makeup removing cloths because I started thinking about how many Say Yes to Grapefruit wipes I've discarded over the years.
I tried Face Silk, which was $20 for 4 pads:
They don't take off my lipstick, which was disappointing, but neither do my grapefruit wipes, or any other wipes, so I guess it's a wash.
They are rather stiff and kind of bulky; perhaps they will soften with age? The point is that I had to rub very hard to get my eyeliner and mascara off. At 47, I'm trying to be extremely delicate with my already-sagging eyelids, and I think a month of hard scrubbing with this thick pad will destroy my eyelids. The material is like a microfiber cloth, but the pad is thick so it doesn't "glide" the way my disposable wipes do. I don't know if I'm explaining it very well. I don't think I'll be using them again, which is too bad. I guess I have to weigh my desire to cut down on my landfill contribution with my desire to not have 85-year old looking eyes.

Do you double cleanse? Since I started to use a cleansing balm for my first cleanse, I haven't needed wipes/eye make up remover!

Try a double cleanse like PP suggested. You could also use try a milciner water and reusable cotton rounds.

Have you tried Make-up Eraser? They work pretty well IMO, but I don't wear long wearing lipstick or waterproof eye make-up. A couple of years ago I was able to get a sample size of one from their website which I then purchased in full size. You just use water and no cleanser to remove your make-up.

I did look into Makeup Eraser but didn't like that it was $20 for a single cloth. Apparently I don't mind dropping $49 on an eyeshadow palette I'll use once a week, but $20/cloth is too expensive for me.

Does micellar water work pretty well? It seems soapy, do I rinse off after?I bought some reusable cotton pads already, I guess I could use them for my eyes and the Face Silk pad for the rest of my face.

Like anything, some are great and some not. You don’t necessarily need to rinse micellar water. I like the one I am using right now a lot, Derma E Vitamin C Micellar Water.

BlondeSpiders, I use the Bioderma in the pink bottle and love that for it's removal qualities. I tend to use an oil cleanser on my face first though and that cuts through all my makeup with either a second cleanser or the Bioderma finishing it up.

Micellars are meant to be a replacement for a first cleanser if you can't or don't want to use an oil-based makeup remover. Most of them need to be rinsed even if they say they don't need to because of the sulfates they contain.
Do DE Protini users use it alone or under something? I’m about to open my first jar and was wondering how you like using it.
When I lived in CA and my climate was pretty predictable from day to day, I always used it at night, alone. Now that DC weather is weird AF and I'm dealing with things like a super dry apartment building, I need to mix it up. So depending how my skin feels, I sometimes either add a pump of B-hydra before, or top it off with a little extra face oil after.
With my work fitness rewards I bought the $20 dollar make-up eraser. Totally worth it. My make-up just comes off so quick now. I use a corner a day and just pop in the washer. It's my new favorite make-up related thing. I still use the reusable cotton pads but they aren't soft as the the make-up eraser and also they are white and stained pretty quickly. I also use Miceller waters with the make-up eraser but don't need to saturate it as much so I am getting a longer use out of the bottle.
