I read:
Looking for Alaska - 2.5 - 3*'s, I just can't get into John Green minus Fault in Our Stars You - 3*'s
For the year I came out to about 21.5 - 22 depending on how you carry over half a book from '18. I read almost 8K pages according to Goodreads so I'll take it.
I read 80 books which was 20 over my goal. I don't think the same thing will happen this year.
In December I read:
The Need 4* When All is Said 4* Catch and Kill 5* The Dearly Beloved 4* The Lager Queen of Minnesota 4* Where the Forest Meets the Stars 3* Once Upon a River 4* Euphoria 3* Commonwealth 4*
A Better Man by Louise Penny 4* The Satapur Moonstone by Sujata Massey, 4* Education for Life: Preparing Children to Meet Today's Challenges by Swami Kriyananda, 3* The Two Lila Bennetts by Liz Fenton 2* The Christmas Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella 1*
I read 52 books in 2019, 2 books over my goal. I read 37 in 2018 and 26 in 2017 so this is a big improvement.
December books: Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi * The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas A Trick of the Light by Louise Penny The Oracle Year by Charles Soule
They were all good, no real standouts. Children of Virtue and Vengeance was a bit disappointing since I loved the first book and this one was just okay. I am hopeful that she will "fix" things in the third book.
