This is my first week working with my coach and I'm stoked
I gave my notice at my day job yesterday and it was a huge relief (leaving my 9-5 industry job to go back into soft money research)
I'm feeling the progress that comes from consistency - both in terms of general strength and how my body feels, and running economy. Things are definitely easier now than they were at the beginning of December.

What are you training for and/or goal you're working towards? Date?
I have several races on my calendar between now and May (mostly 10ks, plus one 10-mile and half marathon), but they’re mostly for fun. My main goal for the winter is to figure out a good training plan that will keep me fit without getting injured. I’ve realized my body needs more recovery time than it used to. Ah, the joys of getting older.
What’s your schedule for the week?
M: Run and strength T: Easy track workout W: Spin class and strength Th: Hill run and strength F: Spin? Sat: Trail run Sun: Easy run - I’m supposed to help a friend map out a race course
I also need to figure out where and how to fit in a couple of 30-minute yoga/stretch sessions.
Any issues/vents/complaints? Tell us!
I have a small hamstring strain. I know it will get better as long as I listen to my body and don’t push speed. My main complaint is how dark it is. The sunrise is after 7 am until mid-February!
Any AW's or brags? We want to know!
I ran my longest run of the year on Saturday. Somehow I ended up in the front of a group and ended up pacing everyone (we were on single track trails, so someone had to be in front). I was exhausted afterwards, but the 2 coaches said I did an excellent job pacing.
