I had a sonogram at 6 weeks to date the pregnancy and then my first appt was at 10 weeks. First pregnancy and I’m 35. Appts were every 4 weeks after that until 28 weeks, then every other week until 36 and then every week. I did have an extra sonogram at 13 weeks due to bleeding. Only other one was anatomy scan and I won’t have another unless there’s an issue with growth.
I had an ultrasound at an imaging place when I was 8 or 9 weeks, an appointment with a nurse around the same time, and my actual first appointment with the doctor around 12 weeks.
Then it’s monthly until 28 weeks, when it becomes biweekly until 36 weeks, when it becomes weekly.

Ultrasounds depend. I’m also over 35 so—-I had an initial US, then anatomy scan at 18 and (repeat for some extra views) at 24 weeks. Since then I’ve had monthly growth US. Appointments are as others have stated. Monthly until like 30 weeks, then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks and then weekly. More if something is being closely watched. My BP is borderline and I’m 36 weeks so I’ve been having extra visits.
This is my first pregnancy and am AMA. I had my first appt at 4w, but it was more of an introduction to how the big medical network works, and what I might expect (where I'm covered by my insurance ), and I got a few books about pregnancy, birth, and early child rearing.
My 2nd appt was at 8w,3d. I had a pap smear and a transvaginal u/s. My 3rd appt was at 12w,2d, and at a different clinic (still within the medical network), so I could get a NT scan and submit blood work to my doctor's preferred lab. I didn't see my doctor, and I won't see her again until my next appt at 16w, unless I have high risk results from the NIPT.
First appointment and u/s for me (both times) was 8 weeks and change, they wouldn’t do it before then- at least not for a normal risk patient- because it can be hard to get a good scan I guess. Saw the doctor same day, then every 4 weeks until 28, then every 2 until 36/37, then weekly until delivery.
With DS I had ultrasounds at 8/12/20/32 weeks (confirmation/NT/anatomy/fibroid), this time at 8/12/20/35 (C/NT/A/positioning&growth).

This is my second pregnancy (29 weeks) and I’m 40. I’ve only had monthly appointments up until this point. I think I switch to biweekly appointments at 32 weeks and then weekly at 36, plus non-stress tests. My scans have been at 8/12/20 and the next is scheduled for 32. (Confirmation, NT, anatomy, and growth). With my first, I was diagnosed with placenta previa at the anatomy scan and had monthly ultrasounds thereafter to monitor it.
I was with a fertility clinic so I had weekly ultrasounds between weeks 6-10 when I was discharged from the clinic. Had my first OB appointment/ultrasound between 12-14 weeks for the NT scan and then anatomy scan after for next ultrasound. Between weeks 12-30 I am seen once every 4 weeks.
If I wasnt at the fertility clinic, standard here so you may get an early dating ultrasound if you arent sure of your dates (but most family doctors will send you for one regardless) then the next isnt until your NT scan with your OB.
I was referred to an early pregnancy clinic at my hospital for between weeks 10-12 since I had an ectopic pregnancy and this was an IVF and I was to call them if I had any concerns (spotting or anything like that).
With my recent baby I was 37, and it was the same schedule as my previous (non-advanced maternal age) baby. First appointment with dating u/s at 9 weeks, then 12-13 weeks with NT scan, then 16 weeks, 20 with anatomy scan, 24, 28, 30, 32 with growth scan, 34, 36, 37, 38, 39, and I've never made it to 40, but they'd get to biweekly after that. Four ultrasounds total, plus any additional ones indicated for complications/concerns. In my GD (first) pregnancy I had an extra u/s at 36w to check size and weekly NSTs from then on.
I had a little trouble getting my 9w appointment, and had to settle for coming in two separate times on the same day, once for the u/s and once to see the nurse practitioner, whereas normally they would book them back to back. They were apparently super busy.
Your schedule doesn't sound abnormal, but I can totally see why with your history especially, you would really really prefer to be seen sooner. I lurked on GetP after my last baby though and I just wanted to say congrats on your pregnancy and I am sending you all the internet good wishes for a healthy baby.

I’m 8w5d and had my first appointment today with a dating ultrasound. I will go again at 12w for my Nt scan and dr visit. I called when I found out at 12dpo and this was the earliest they would allow me to schedule.
