1. 13w, 2d 2. I rec'd the NIPT results and I'm having a healthy baby boy! We're still waiting only for the CF results, but H & I don't have CF on either side of our families, so I'm optimistic that DS will have a healthy result with the last screening test. The Cell-free test took exactly 1 week to arrive, which was a little quicker than I was expecting. 3. I don't plan to have a gender reveal party or anything big like that, but I'm trying to think of cutesy ways to share the news. Have any of you shared the sex in any unique and/or quirky ways? 4. No baby moon plans, really. We're going away for President's Day weekend with friends, but I don't think that really counts. I need to figure out if I have to use all my PTO before/during my leave, or if I can save some for after my return to work - WA St. just started having Paid Family Leave in 2020, and my HR dept hasn't sent out an updated manual with PTO procedures RE family leave.

1. How far along are you? 9w 2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I have a mid year review with my boss tomorrow. I’m a satellite worker so we aren’t together alone much and his office is very open concept. We have a conference room meeting tomorrow so I will be telling him about the pregnancy. 3. Questions for the group? The genetic screening my practice uses (mat21) is going to cost 300 OOP. I cannot decide what I want to do. We did not do it with DD.
4. Anyone planning a babymoon/fun weekend pre-birth? Where are you going? I would love to get a camping trip in but we’ll see

1. How far along are you? 35+3
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
I had a terrible headache over the weekend that i couldn’t get rid of, 90% sure it was a migraine. Weather has been crazy here and barometric pressure surges/hormones are my biggest triggers for migraines. Nonetheless I freaked out thinking it could be pre-e so I drug my kid to Publix this morning to check my blood pressure, which was fine- on the low side- but fine.
3. Questions for the group?
What do I need to be doing right now?! I feel so unprepared for this baby. Our life is currently upending itself with DHs job issues and it’s been hard to think about much else.
4. Anyone planning a babymoon/fun weekend pre-birth? Where are you going?
We spent 14 days in Israel around 19weeks, counted that as our baby moon! It was AMAZING and literally the perfect time to travel (minus the bleeding I had which started 24 hours before we boarded our return flight)
1. How far along are you? 35+6, less than a month to go!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? It’s hitting me how much is left to do when I think about her possibly showing up a bit early. Some days I nest quite a bit, others it and the fatigue is overwhelming and I chill on the couch thinking about what I should be doing.
3. Questions for the group? Anyone else’s H not down with sex? I mean, I didn’t want it a lot pregnant but H has been a no-go since baby moved during it awhile back, he isn’t afraid to hurt the baby or anything but feeling our kid move isn’t exactly mood enhancing. Knowing we’re like 2.5 months from PP clearance and how much the first few times after delivering DS sucked is a downer.
4. Anyone planning a babymoon/fun weekend pre-birth? Where are you going? Hahahahaha no. We may try to do a date night at a nice restaurant though.
2. 37w appt went well and we are mostly ready for her! We still need a name...
3. If you have a two story house, do you have multiple pieces of baby gear? We have a swing for the family room but I also spend a lot of time in our bedroom (I’m a photographer and it’s where I edit) so I think I want a second swing. Dh thinks it’s overkill but he leaves the house for work and doesn’t have to worry about keeping kids happy.
4. We went on an adult only trip to Arizona in November and it was amazing. I live in MN so the beautiful weather was an extra treat. We try to travel kid free a few times a year but obviously that will take a hit with the new baby.
sloan I’ve really not been up for it this pregnancy, but after a certain point during my pregnancy with my daughter, he didn’t feel comfortable with it all. I was a little bummed tbh.
Maybe ask about a payment plan? Mine was around that for cash pay (harmony) and we decided to do it. I forget what it was exactly but they did do a payment plan.
I’m not sure how far along you are regarding prep, but I would focus on the initial basic need — car seat, bottles/pump, a place for baby to sleep, a boppy, some clothes/swaddles/burp rags, diapers and wipes
2. Nothing much. We ordered DS's big boy bed. I am not sure if we are going to regret this come this spring with a 2 year old in a bed with free reign but it didnt make sense to buy another crib, I guess. Pottery barn was having a sale and I got a pretty good deal on it. Now to get him sheets etc. We arent sure when we will move him, probably not till the spring but we want to get him settled before the baby comes. We were also waffling between moving DS to the smaller room and just getting him a toddler bed or putting DD in the smaller room. I wasnt sure the dresser, crib and chair would fit but we measured it all out and it does so DS is staying in his room and I ordered him a double bed and DD would get his crib, which will eventually be converted to a toddler bed. Hopefully he stays in it lol.
3. Nope!
4. Not really, maybe a long weekend away somewhere within Canada.

1. How far along are you? Almost 37 weeks!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? They’ve decided to induce me at 38 weeks! Yay! Sometime the end of next week, I’ll have a new baby!
3. Questions for the group? Will I survive with 2 kids!? LOL It will be like a week where I have 2 under 2! Send me positive vibes please. DD1 was a colicky nightmare so I am hopeful DD2 will be an easier newborn.
4. Anyone planning a babymoon/fun weekend pre-birth? Where are you going? We really didn’t do much other than a trip to Denver over the summer when I was like 16 weeks pregnant.

I’ve been having bad migraines with the pressure systems in NC, last Thursday through Saturday was one of the worst I’ve had. After being told about my dilation progress I almost called the doctor because I was worried too, but it subsided by Saturday evening. Those storms have been no joke. I am never going to take my migraine medicine or Advil for granted again once this baby is born.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Still walking 2 miles a day, somewhat hard to get it in with all the rain we’ve been getting, but I’m still finding a way. Wish the doctor wouldn’t have assumed I’d go into labor in a few days, now we are on edge and trying to relax because it doesn’t appear this baby is ready to go anywhere.
3. Questions for the group? None.
4. Anyone planning a babymoon/fun weekend pre-birth? Where are you going? We went to Ireland when I was 10 weeks for our already planned before pregnancy honeymoon. Our baby moon was back in October to the NC mountains. No traveling since.

1. How far along are you? 16W
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I am telling my office tomorrow. I am nervous.
3. Questions for the group? Did any one suddenly lose weight in the second trimester? I have reason to believe it was water weight and bloating, and now am within a 'normal' weight gain range for how far along I am, but of course everything concerns me now, ha.
4. Anyone planning a babymoon/fun weekend pre-birth? Where are you going? Not right now, but that could change. We did already take a few trips over the last year, but we like to travel.

1. 9W 2. My hardwork of calling for cancellations daily finally paid off and my first appointment is today. Fingers crossed. Also, we told family last night including our 4 year old daughter who was simply awesome!!! 3. Anyone who has done this before, do you feel like "oh shoot, I think I forgot how to breastfeed" 4. Well no...but my I may tag along on my husbands work trip to puerto rico. Also, we normally vacation near our anniversary but that will be week 34 for me so we're trying to go earlier
lucky428 with DS I had a swing downstairs and the RNP upstairs (which traveled around the house as needed too) but with RNPs recalled I’m not sure what we’ll do this time.
I’m not sure how far along you are regarding prep, but I would focus on the initial basic need — car seat, bottles/pump, a place for baby to sleep, a boppy, some clothes/swaddles/burp rags, diapers and wipes
Yes, I just picked up the bassinest today! Everything else is pretty well set. I don't think I'll buy many diapers until we get home (hey amazon 2h delivery!) our hospital sends us home with so many, but I do need to make a Costco run for wipes!
I lost a lot of weight in my first and second trimester. I finally started gaining a little around 24w. They got worried when baby was measuring small. We are both still working on catching up. As long as baby is measuring normal, I wouldn’t stress.

1. How far along are you? 10 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I feel fat and exhausted and my chair at work is suddenly the most uncomfortable thing in the entire universe. I've essentially been melting into the couch the moment I get home, E has been amazing and has picked up almost all of the cooking and cleaning.
3. Questions for the group? This is our first pregnancy, are there any good books/blogs to read other than the typical "what to expect..."
4. Anyone planning a babymoon/fun weekend pre-birth? Where are you going? E and I are going to Asheville in late June/early July. We got engaged there, and there are a ton of great restaurants.

1. How far along are you? 30w
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I already vented about my GD in a separate post, lol. We are making a big push this month to combine our guest room and office so that we can convert the guest room to a nursery. We ordered Elfa shelving for our closets so that we have enough storage, and I ordered a day bed for the office. I'm gradually buying baby gear from B/S/T sites and I think I've settled on a car seat. Now I just need to find a good deal!
3. Questions for the group? None at the moment
4. Anyone planning a babymoon/fun weekend pre-birth? Where are you going? Most likely not. I feel like we have so much to do before the baby arrives that we can't waste a weekend away!

tiptoetulips, is there another lab where they could send the Mat21 test? My clinic uses two labs, their preferred lab and a second lab that costs significantly less.
lucky428, we have a two-story house but I spend most of my time on the first level. If you're upstairs a lot, I wouldn't hesitate to get a second swing. They're a pain to move, and it's all about making your life as easy as possible those first few months.
verycontrary247, I liked the pregnancy calendars on the Alpha Mom and Pregnant Chicken website. Pregnant Chicken also has a great gear guide.
2. 37w appt went well and we are mostly ready for her! We still need a name...

We have some type of baby soothing device on all three floors of our house. It didn’t matter much when we only had one kiddo, but the need to put baby #2 (and now #3) somewhere safe while dealing with other children was great. It’s SUPER helps to have and not overkill at all- esp if you are home with the kids all day alone.
