To wear maternity pants? I'm only 10 weeks.
I gained some weight when I phased off Adderall prior to TTC, and then immediately gained 10lbs once I got pregnant even though I'm eating like a million times better. My pants are struggling.
I'm conflicted as to whether I should just buy normal pants a size up or skip right to maternity wear.
Saw this on the app. There's never a time too early for maternity pants. I was definitely wearing them full time by 10 weeks with my second. Buying a size up wouldn't have helped in my situation because my shape was different (my lower stomach was just a lot more sensitive even before it was "big enough" to justify maternity pants).
I was definitely wearing them by 10 weeks this pregnancy. I noticed that I was super bloated around then, then around 12-13 weeks the bloat went away and I fit into my regular pants for like a week but by 14 weeks it was full time maternity pants wearing for me.
Now. Yesterday, even. You're pregnant, your baby is growing, your uterus is growing, and your placenta is growing. You need room for it all.
Pregnancy is uncomfortable enough, do whatever you can to be as comfortable as you can for as long as you can. There's no trophy for staying in non-maternity sizes the longest!
Along the same lines, does anyone have any maternity work pants they recommend?
Good luck. No really. Maternity pants suck ass. I have literally been wearing felina maternity leggings since October and no maternity pants. They either don’t stay up or strangle the bump. It’s awful.

Pants are tough. Try Motherhood maternity, old navy and target. Maternity leggings that cover the bump are good. I like the a-glow line from kohl’s for leggings and t shirts. It’s easier at the end with casual comfy clothes like leggings and maxi dresses if you’re able to be casual at work. ETA- I was in a lot of maternity clothes by 10 weeks this time around.

I wish I could just wear leggings, but my office dress code is annoyingly specific that no leggings are allowed 😭

Oh that’s horribly sucky. What about leggings that kind of look like black skinny pants?

I ordered Mid-Rise Rockstar Jeggings from Old Navy shortly after I tested positive because the bloat was making all of my other pants (I prefer a tighter fit normally) uncomfortable. There is elastic all the way around the interior waist band and they are comfortable.
At almost 14w, I plan to order my first pair of maternity pants from Old Navy and a pregnancy pillow this weekend. Comfort is key, and pregnancy is only for so long, so might as well get to it!
I think that one of the most positive parts of being due in the Summer is that I won't have to wear pants in 3rd trimester, maxi dresses all the way!

I think I'm in the minority of women who despises maxi dresses. Maybe pregnancy will be the thing that makes me change my mind 😂
I ordered a few pairs of pants from Motherhood Maternity and am anxiously awaiting their arrival.
