I did a very short run this morning and then headed to the pool with the kids for 1600 for me and lessons for them.
The run was intended to be a Max hr test but I think I overdid the leadup mile and/or needed to have eaten something because as soon as I kicked into all out effort I got light headed and had to stop. Fail. I was just curious was my Max was to enter it correctly on various programs. Have to try it again with some food onboard. Or not bother and figure out my threshold hr instead since I just bought a copy of 80/20 triathlon and that's the metric he uses.
I am trying to be better at checking in, so it forces my accountability. I was a slacker yesterday, so I’m going to have to do a B2B tomorrow.
Today, I met some ladies at 5:30am (shoot me). Some were doing 18; they’re training for a 50 miler. One was doing 9 and they picked her up, but I’m close to their start so I met them there. I had 1:10 on tap and thought I’d do more, but my Loop was exactly that...after I ran around the parking lot a few times. 😂
I’m struggling with how to keep from going too fast on these runs. These ladies don’t like to slow down for a long run, but I’m trying to follow coach’s directions.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

sadlebred I love the memes about running/riding past your house! 😂
Most egregious for me was the time I got a necessary tenths of a mile at the end of a century in the parking lot behind the finish arch. 99.8 miles WILL NOT DO
