Good morning! Who’s up this morning, and what’s going on in your world?
My alarm went off at a fun 4:30 (idk how people do this on a regular basis), and I’m currently eating breakfast and drinking coffee before my half. It’s my first half in a long time and I’m a mix of nervous/excited!
After that it’s home for a nap and the Packers game later tonight, followed by the day off tomorrow.

I’m hoping to go to the gym and get on a bike to flush out my legs a little bit. They’re very stiff after my run yesterday. I also aggravated my hamstring by tripping over rocks and roots a few times - I didn’t fall, but my hamstring wasn’t happy about my abrupt movements.
I am doing a gravel road ride a bit later. I'm waiting for it to get just a bit warmer. I need to go to the grocery store and do several loads of laundry. I'm sure there will be couch time watching tv as well.

Just got home a little bit ago from treadmill class. Always a good workout. I’m feeling so tired that I’m tempted to cancel my class for tomorrow and do yoga instead :/
I ran the 3M half and went in without a goal time because I haven’t run this race since 2017. Started running with the 2:30 pace group but ended up a tad faster than that. Started thinking maybe I could finish in 2:20. Ended up finishing in 2:23. The hills in the last 2 miles got me. My left hip hurts like hell. Usually does after long runs but goes away by the next day. And I’m exhausted because I got no sleep last night.
I did it in 1:57, which I’m pretty happy about considering it’s my first long distance race in a long time! The weather was pretty perfect as well - cool, sunny, a little windy but only felt it for a couple of miles. Overall it makes me excited for my next races!
