Hello! Tell me two random things.

Mine:
1. Going out for Mexican with my friends after work, yay!
2. I am frustrated by work and it's barely 9:30.

I have a headache and want to just relax and sleep. I hope I am not becoming sick.

This January I've quit artificial sugar, am doing dry January and meal prepping like a champ. Over the weekend I made an awesome soup, barbacoa beef for burrito bowls and marinara sauce for veggie noodles during the week. It takes so much work... I wish eating healthy was cheap and easy.

1. I think I need to get a new pillow. Again. Ugh. I've been waking up with a headache and can feel tension in my shoulders and the sides of my neck when I wake up that wasn't there when I went to bed.

2. I've been texting a little bit with the guy I dated towards the end of last year. No idea what happening there, but I've missed him so it's nice to talk.

Bonus #3: I've been getting lots and lots of messages on Match. I have at least 3 men I'm actively talking to from there, plus the one I met speed dating.

1. When I went to get gas this AM I used my snowbrush to pick away at all the "snow boogers" that collect under your wheel wells here in the winter. Some smartass dude thought I was this ignorant woman and said "You are going to pop your tire doing that". It's a snow brush, not an ice pick and I am cleaning the area AROUND the tires, not the tires themselves. Leave me alone dude.

2. My cat has suddenly decided she no longer likes her food. I was getting nervous because she hasn't eaten much in the last 24 hours so I gave her some puree snack treats and she gobbled them up so clearly she is hungry, just being a finicky little brat about her expensive prescription food.

1. It's cold here. Ok, it's 52 degrees but that's cold for here. Brrr... I'm enjoying being snuggled up under a blanket while I work.

2. One of my neighbors is moving and had a little going away party in our club room on Sunday. I met one of her girlfriends who I could have sworn was maybe in her early 50s. When I asked her what she does for a living she told me she's retired. When I was clearly shocked she shared with me that she's 67. I NEED her skin care routine like yesterday. Anyway, she was really cool and asked me for my number before she left. She said she's on a mission to find me someone because in her words, "you are just too cute." It was so sweet.

My two things:
1. I love this baby so much.❤️❤️

2. Functioning on such little sleep is crazy, we’re doing it though. It’s hard to sleep at night listening to every little sound.

1. I am leaving for Iceland in 1 week.
2. I am also frustrated with work. Our department is slow and I feel my manager is trying to point fingers at me to make herself look better.

1. Im so pissed at all my sisters! (father related)

2. Stefan hurt his knee while skiing and while I feel bad im annoyed at him too. He tries to keep up with his brother 18 years his jr.

I'm working from home this morning - I've missed this! While I do have to go to the airport to catch a lunchtime flight, it is delightful to be sitting around in sweats and not having to deal with the overnight snow or rush hour traffic. (plus, I clearly have access to my personal laptop to be posting this, lol)

mags I am giving your sisters the side eye from here, and I hope S is feeling better soon.

A’s mom left today, thank goodness. It was nice to have help, but the criticism and the she knows best was getting hard for me. He had to keep telling her to stop. We are formula feeding because I had so much trouble breast feeding with baby D’s latch and pain/damaged nipples and I never heard the end of it from MIL. Even last night she brought it up again. I’ve felt guilty enough over the whole situation that being continuously criticized for it makes it worse.

I’m glad to finally be able to figure how to be a mom now without someone constantly telling me I’m doing it wrong or how I should be doing it.

doglove no such thing as annoying with all those pictures of her! She is absolutely precious and those lashes! Glad your MIL is gone and really glad A stood up to her on your behalf. You are making sure your baby is fed and that's part of being a great mom.


mags I'm side-eyeing your sisters, too. I hope S feels better soon. People need to get on board with helping you out instead of complicating your life!

I'm doing well, just launching right back into dating. There are 8 or 9 men in contention right now. I have a date this evening and another on Saturday. I'm trying to schedule with 5 others. The single dad/teacher I was dating before? We're talking again and saw each other for a little bit on Saturday night.

I promise I am not criticizing because lord knows I am far from perfect at dating and have made my share of mistakes but...do you think this is a good idea?  Is the reason you initially broke up still an issue?

doglove, Don't feel guilty or bad for one second about formula feeding your baby!!! Not everyone can breastfeed, and formula fed babies survive and thrive just as well as breastfed ones do. You're doing what's right for you and your baby, and anyone who judges that can go f themselves right off!

I'm actually not sure if it's still an issue. We haven't gotten into that yet. I do know that I'm not letting myself be stuck on all and only him. The issues were mostly him getting stuck in his own head instead based on some things I said instead of seeing me for who I am. Although there's still a difference in faith levels, but we haven't talked about that again yet. It's honestly really early on and I'm not even sure we're going to end up dating. I haven't asked in part because I'm not sure what I want it to be yet.
