Dear BFF, Thank you for motivating me to go to the gym this morning. You're the best and I'm glad we got to suffer together. Love, you really are my soulmate friend
Dear DH, Sorry for being pissy about having to wake up with DD and the dog at 3 and 3:30. I'm literally stuck between a rock and a hard place on how to make going to the gym work. Life and work schedules make the 5am class the most convenient. Sleep schedules of the kids (and the dog) make the 5am class hard because it means even less sleep. You've been getting up with DD more and its wonderful, but this won't happen as much when your arm is healed and you're back to your normal schedule. Love, your wife just needed a moment
Dear DS, I am fine with you not wanting to play baseball this year. Well, mostly. But I'm not okay with you not trying things or not playing baseball "because it's hard" That's not going to work. If you aren't interested in sports that is okay. But you need to do something. Love, your mama who needs to figure you out
Dear employee, This review may be uglier than the last one. Your performance has improved just enough to check the box and your attitude has somehow gotten worse. Do we need to just rip the band aid off this thing and part ways? Signed, Boss
No I cannot be a cover for a program that in the mornings, because I have class in the morning. Maybe someone who is not consistently scheduled, like maybe you, could do it.

Dear coworker/friend, I'm glad I got to attend your work and outside of work going away parties. I'm going to miss you but happy you got a transfer to a better location. Signed, Sad you're leaving
Dear programmers, I'm trying to set up clients, but when you drag on for over a month with no progress, I'm going to have to email you again as a reminder. According to my trainer, setting up clients used to be a one day process, not months on end. Signed, Trying to keep my clients happy

Dear Life,
Sick husband, sick daughter, and just had to put down our oldest cat.
This is... a lot.
Signed, Wow
Dear Camp,
I'm so glad to hear you have room in your family camp in February! We are looking forward to seeing the place, and I'm looking forward to riding horses!
You're killing me. I have been managing our entire portfolio and putting on new business on my own for a year now. Our current volumes are at when we had two other full time employees on my team. I've raised my hand and said I NEED HELP. We've found a candidate. And now we can't get our job req posted?!?!
I get it, the company as a whole is struggling and there is an unofficial hiring freeze. But my division is.. not. We've always been profitable, and we're significantly profitable, even if we add in new headcount. And I know the company hasn't seen it yet since we're a new division, but my business model does GREAT in a recession. Like really, really great. Because all those deals that used to be upmarket will be swimming in my stream. So you don't have to worry about that.
Signed, Please just approve my job posting so that I can hire the candidate with 117/120 of her bachelors degree credits. She is not perfect, but I think she'll do just fine. PS: Yes, she'll need an AVP title even though she doesn't have her degree. It was short-sighted of her, but I'm going to say 20 years of experience compensates for it. PPS: Her salary request wasn't as high as I'd originally been lead to believe. We can afford her. PPPS: Did not find out about why she stopped short, but I'm pretty sure it was baby related.
So awesome that you're all reaching out at once! I'd love to work with you all and to exercise my marketing chops a bit. Hopefully you start to stagger a bit because 4 at once seems like it might be a bit much... but I'm still excited! Hoping you all work out!
Signed, I'll get your stuff straightened out - trust me :-)
Dear DH's Potential Employee -
OMG it's like you fell out of heaven. Please work out for DH. I think you will really love it. Please don't disappear like the other candidates. Please. DH needs a break.
Dear PTO Thank you PTO co-president and teacher for un-volunteering me when the principle volunteered me. That was really appreciative. But come on we have an event next Thursday and you guys haven't done a thing. There is also a big event next month and again nothing has been started. I would love to know what the hell is going on but I just don't have the bandwidth to figure it out. Me PS that meeting dragged on and on last night
Dear week Why is it only Wednesday it seems like it should be Friday already. I don't know if the week is dragging or flying since I swear yesterday was Monday. All messed up this week
Really? Corona virus and a mass shooting 15 minutes after I walked through that intersection, a few blocks from my hotel? I already hate you. You don’t need to keep trying so hard to convince me you suck.
Just Want To Get Home Alive
Dear Dude Who Convinced Me to Speak at the CLE:
You told me a bazillion times this would be a friendly crowd. So telling me yesterday to watch out for people trying to basically play “gotcha” with my company is utterly shit.
mommyatty, I just saw that news about the Seattle shooting. I don't know the details, but it sounded like it was a fight. I just don't understand people who are so scared of the world that they have to carry a firearm and can't resolve conflict to the point that then they have to use it to shoot at people.
If you ask me for marketing help, please understand that I, too, am a small business owner. It's really not fair to expect me to consult for free. So don't be a d!ck when I stop feeding you very specific strategy information that you refuse to pay for. Sign a contract and write me a check, mmmkay?
Thanks, Marketing Consultant with a ton of good experience but sure you can totally do it yourself, probably better than me
Dear Hiring Committee, That was an interesting phone interview, and I'm not sure that you liked me. Although the questions you asked were very good, and I think it would be an awesome place to work. Any chance I get on your shortlist for a visit? Signed, Promise I am good and what I do

Dear School,
Oh my hell. Why is re-enrollment always a fire drill with you? I'm going about my day, assuming that we'll just re--enroll when out of the blue I find out that two of the boys in DS' class are not re-enrolling. Which would leave two boys in his class-including DS!!!!
And DD's class is looking to be a similar size. Maybe 8 kids in her class.
And there's a laundry list of people leaving b/c they are concerned the school is too small. You're in a downward spiral and I don't understand it. I'm suddenly going to an open house at another private school and I don't want to go to another private school, so this pretty much sucks.
I want to be some place people want to be, not some place where people are always re-evaluating the decion they've made.
