1. How far along are you?
37+2
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
I had contractions off and on all weekend for hours at a time, which is so weird for me- never really happened with my first two. I had my OB appointment today and I’m 1/2cm... which i know means nothing but just always interesting to know!
Also- we might be moving. With a newborn. I’m freaking out a little bit.
3. Questions for the group?
Not really right now, just trying to stay comfortable!
4. Push presents or no?
DH got me a diamond and sapphire ring with DD1, nothing with DD2, so we’ll see what happens this time. Gifts are not really my love language so I’m not hurt either way, but I do enjoy having something special from DD1’s birth! It was a long long road to get there, so it is a sweet reminder.
2. Csection is on Wednesday and I’m so nervous. This is my third one, my second planned, so I know what to expect yet I’m still terrified. I either lay wide awake or have nightmares that something is wrong with my baby.

1. How far along are you? 15w, 2d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I ordered two pairs of maternity pants - one front-panel and one side-panel. They are a total game changer. I feel so much more comfortable and I'm not racing to get home to change into loose sweatpants anymore. A little TMI - since I'm not constantly nauseous and uncomfortably bloated, I finally have a sex drive again. So that's fun, lol.
3. Questions for the group? What are your thoughts on maternity tights/nylons? They seem kind of expensive for something I might not wear very often. I'm going to a wedding in late-February, and I think I want to wear solid-colored tights with the dress I'm wearing. Are maternity tights "worth it?" I have a pair of old, fleece-lined tights that I was thinking of wearing, and can throw out if I stretch them out too much. I'll be 19w at the time of the wedding, and haven't really popped yet, but I might pop a little more by then.
4. Push presents or no? I don't think my H knows what a push present even is. I won't decline a thoughtful gift, but gifts are in no way my love language, so I won't be hurt if I don't get a push present.

1. How far along are you? 32w
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I'm so over GD and I still have 8 weeks to go. I met with the dietician last week, who was concerned that I've cut too many carbs because I haven't put on any weight this month. So now I have to find ways to add "good" carbs without affecting my numbers. It's so frustrating. I'm tired of planning every single meal and snack with no room for spontaneity. All I want is a big piece of cake. I have my 32-week growth scan and midwife appointment later this week, and I'm interested to see how the baby is measuring and what the midwife thinks about my weight.
3. Questions for the group? What will you use to keep your babies warm while sleeping? Sleep sacks? Any recommendations? My first was born at the height of summer in Texas, so this is a new one for me.
4. Push presents or no? Do my new Elfa closet organizers count?

madDawg228, is there a Destination Maternity near you? I bought a cheap pair of maternity tights there for Thanksgiving. I've heard all of their stores are closing, so you might be able to get a good deal.
lucky428, I hope you're able to get some rest before Wednesday. I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you!
swiftlyirun, if you have to move with a newborn, can you at least hire packers and movers to do everything?
Don’t go here but I wore regular tights with my first as second—just under my belly. I also bought emergency maternity tights at Walmart with my second (I had a bad cough) and they held up longer than expected. I think you are okay with either option. I wouldn’t pay lots for maternity tights but if you can get them cheap (or wear tights a lot), I would spring for them.

Yes, movers will 100% do everything! I can’t fathom what that even looks like, the last time we moved we were DINKs! So.much.stuff. has been accumulated since then!
ETA: I’m really more concerned about my (almost) 4yo and how this might be traumatic for her 😞, so much change at once. We’ll also go from being local to my parents, sister and aunts to a 3h drive from any grandparents
2. Had our anatomy scan yesterday. Baby is still a girl and they were able to get all the images although the tech wasnt sure they would be happy with all the heart pictures because she was laying on her left side hiding her heart. They wouldn't tell us anything, which is usual practice and was the same with DS, but my OB told my last time that if they show you the gender and show you all the body parts at the end of the US that everything is okay so I am assuming so. We also did the panorama and with the iffy heart pictures getting a pass I think we are in the clear.
3. Nope!
4. Not a must but I wouldnt turn down a thoughtful gift lol.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? We got our NIPT results back! No abnormalities! We are having another girl. Shocked and so excited! We told DD (4) last night. She’s so excited 3. Questions for the group? No 4. Push presents or no? We didn’t do anything last time.
2. We had our anatomy scan last week. Everything looked good although it took a while for the tech to see everything as baby was very squirmy. We confirmed baby is a girl and I think we are starting to narrow down our name list.
3. Any tips for SI joint pain? I didn’t have this with my first two pregnancies. Now sometimes when I stand up, I get a thing of pain in my right lower back that lasts for a few minutes.
4. I don’t think I’ll get anything, but I’m okay with that.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Finally NEED to switch over to maternity wear, but waited to long to order and now must wait for all my packages to arrive.
3. Questions for the group? Not atm
4. Push presents or no? I am not getting a push present, but we just bought me a new wedding set since mine broke again and will require ongoing fixing. We are also discussing a bathroom remodel due to a persistent leak. I think we are spending enough on things that are not baby related.
3. Questions for the group? Has anyone done the Sneak peak blood test to find out the gender early? Do you recommend it?
I did this because I'm AMA (I turn 35 next month, so I just made the cut-off). I did that test and other genetic testings, and we were able to find out the sex one week after my 12w appointment (which also included the NT Scan).
My medical network calls the test Cell-free Prenatal Screen and screens your blood (which includes baby's DNA floating around in there) for Trisomy 21, trisomy 18, trisomy 13, and the sex chromosome.
It's just a screening test and not a diagnostic test, but the sex predictor is VERY accurate. Some people aren't comfortable doing genetic testing, but I think it's best to be as prepared as possible IF there are any increased risk of abnormalities. If there are higher risk/abnormalities results, then you would talk with your doctor and figure out what diagnostic steps you would want to take next.
I would recommend NIPT if you are AMA (and most US insurances should cover the cost) or if you or your H are high-risk for any genetic disorder that is able to be tested.

Check out this link and do these exercises every other day at least. I literally could not walk from si joint pain and within a week or two of these plus seeing a pregnancy specific chiropractor, I was pain free.
verycontrary247 - we did the panorama blood test which is one of the NIPTs, i just wanted the peace of mind of/as much information as possible as both pregnancies are IVF pregnancies. I have read that the sneak peak gender tests can be quite inaccurate.
Got a call from my OB, no concerns with the anatomy! Yay.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Cleaning lady came yesterday so now I can nest Baby Girl’s room and get it ready. It’s also SO nice having all our bathrooms clean, I’ve been slacking on the cleaning front since I’m so tired and bending is so much more work than usual haha.
3. Questions for the group? Did your second come earlier? I’m fluctuating between being so over pregnancy and ready to meet her, and enjoying these last however many days/weeks with DS as an only child.
4. Push presents or no? No- not our style, but to each their own.
urbancowgirl I’m in a warm climate but DS was October- we did a lot of sleep swaddles and sleep sacks, but personally found fleece to be too warm for here even in winter.
madDawg228 I’ve been wearing regular but stretchy leggings and just keeping them under my bump. I also had decent luck at consignment/thrift shops and Poshmark since most people don’t wear out their maternity clothes.
swiftlyirun What a big change! I’m glad you’ll have movers, that’ll be quite the adjustment for your family.
lucky428 I hope you’re getting some good rest and that tomorrow goes smoothly!

My first was 2 days early, my second was induced at 8 days late. Everyone had me convinced #2 would come earlier or about the same so I was so depressed when i went over. Also both were fertility babies so I know the exact date of ovulation!

1. 11W 2. I've been debating on switching practices and really indecisive about it, tried out the midwife group today and while not all together night and day differences I feel ever so slightly swayed so I think I'm going to switch 3. no 4. no

Oh man over a week later- that’s rough! I hope to go into labor on my own but if I make it to 40 weeks may need to do an induction- DS was 3 days late and only 3 oz shy of 10 lbs, so they’d mentioned that they’d like me to not go past 41 with that history. She was already measuring 6 lbs 3 weeks ago, so we are expecting another (thankfully not quite as) large baby. We were TTC so not as exact as fertility babies but far from “I think I started my last period X”, with DS I knew my ovulation date from temping, this time I knew the day we conceived (H left town the next day and I thought we were out that month because it was a bit early), O was probably 2-3 days after.
Well my first was a preemie who was 9 weeks early, so thankfully my second didn't come earlier than her sister. She did wait until the day after her due date though. I was so over it by like 38 weeks.

Well I’m glad your second made it full term! I am with you on being over it come 38 weeks though.
