Just curious which ones people found to be most accurate/helpful. I am going to Target today, and was thinking, well, they sell basal therms, so even though I have O sticks, should I get the therm too??
Also, do HPTs expire?
I think I am way over eager here sorry to be a crazy-pants, considering I'm not even TTC until August. I think I just want off my bc already, so I'm distracting myself.
Coincidentally, I've been noticing hormonal changes with my bc over the past few months (been on the same pill forever with zero issues) and now I think it's timely we're going to be TTC because the pill is becoming a bit of a problem! Wish I could drop it today!

OPK's help predict O and temping confirms/backs it up. I've had +OPK's and then not ovulated until 2-3 days later, which I wouldn't have known unless I was temping. Also it's possible to get an LH surge (so a +OPK) and then not O at all. It doesn't happen super often but it is possible.
Now that I've been temping for several cycles and know that I do O, if I had to pick just one, I would just OPK because you only use them for about a week during your cycle and they give you the heads up rather than just letting you know O has happened... and I would just have sex ED for the next 3-4 days after a +OPK. BUT since I am a control freak, I do both so I know for sure what's going on.
A lot of the OPK's from the store expire because once you open the canister, you need to use them up in one cycle/they're not usually still good the next cycle. Wondfo's are individually wrapped so you don't have that problem, and they're cheaper. Look them up on Amazon.
HPT's expire too, but they have an expiration date on them and are good for a few years. Just check the date.
