I can't with our kitchen faucet anymore. I miss our Delta pull-down faucet from our old house so I'm biting the bullet and buying a new one TODAY.
Our kitchen is pretty much all white (cabinets and countertops) with a neutral beigeish tile backsplash. Current faucet is brushed stainless.
All of the doorknobs and light fixtures in the shared spaces of our first floor are oil rubbed bronze, with the exception of the dated brass fixtures we are about to replace and the guest bathroom which has brushed gold fixtures (though I think guest bathrooms are kind of standalone in general).
You can see the top 1/2 of the faucet from the living room. I'm concerned that a dark brown faucet will be eye-catching.
I kind of just don't like oil rubbed bronze kitchen faucets.
So, someone give me permission to just ignore the fact that it will match nothing else and just get the brushed stainless faucet OR tell me that I'm being silly and it should match everything else so get the oil rubbed bronze.
Our kitchen is brown with ORB fixtures and black appliances (hate all of this), but the sink faucet in stainless steel. It really doesn't look bad, or noticeable I guess. I didn't even really notice until you posted this and I looked. So if you like the stainless steel or brushed nickel better, I'd do that.
Yeah I don’t expect the faucet to match the pulls exactly. Ours have always been brushed stainless with pewter grey handles and stainless steel appliances. No one looks that hard.

I’m kind of here. I think I’ll just get the SS. I can’t quite convince myself to get the ORB and we have no plans to move, ever, so might as well just make myself happy I guess.

Yeah, get the stainless steel, especially if you are switching our appliances to that. I just wanted to make sure you had *some* silver elsewhere in the kitchen.
Thanks, I ordered the stainless and it should be here on Wednesday. If DH doesn't get around to getting it installed in a timely fashion, I'll get the guy my dad sends out to work on my grandmother's condo to swing by and install it for me. Considering that I have a bathroom faucet and light from Pottery Barn sitting in my garage for going on 5 years, odds are high that my dad's guy will end up doing it.
We had a delta faucet with the magnetite docking in our old house and loved it. No dangling faucet head!
This is the faucet we have and I love it. I also agree with your choice to get stainless. We bought an adapter and have it plugged in under our sink so we don’t have to worry about changing batteries.

If it helps you decide, we renovated our kitchen six years ago and have only had to change the batteries once I think. Plus, the battery pack is readily accessible so IMO it's not worse than changing batteries on a digital clock or something...it's not like you have to crawl under the sink or take anything apart.
