The race was OK. It was beautiful, I’m proud of the first 21 miles, and enjoyed myself. My training cycle was kind of terrible – I went from running 40 half marathons in a year IHO my 40th birthday, and transition directly into training for this marathon. I was really burned out in December, and skipped so many midweek runs and did zero strength training. I enjoyed myself, and finish strong and uninsured. But I still haven’t hit my five hour goal, and I’m trying not to be sad.
