2. I think we have decided on a name. DH is set on it but I am not 100%, maybe 98%. But it was our 1 pick for DS if he were a girl and we always seem to go back to it.
3. Nope
4. I really liked the boppy lounger for letting DS nap as a newborn on the couch while I did dishes or something. I know a lot of people believe that expensive strollers arent worth it but we splurged on ours and since I live in the city I walk or take transit as much as possible and I used my stroller so much, even during our crazy Canadian winters.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I’m typing this from the hospital, have some cervix ripening drug starting the process now and hoping that today is baby day, and an uneventful routine one at that.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What is your one MUST have baby product? There are a bunch but for simple stuff a Wubbanub was great with DS. He kept losing his paci and the weight of that little animal on his chest made such a difference in it not rolling away when he did so he could get it back most of the time.

1. How far along are you? 13 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I FINALLY had my first ultra sound on Friday along with the NT scan, everything looks good and I'm so reassured!
3. Questions for the group? randomly I was thinking today, does RLP happen in all pregnancies, or is it better in later pregnancies (thinking your body has already adjusted)...I'm assuming no good news here
4. What is your one MUST have baby product?Well I'll offer a labor necessity, in my opinion. There is a cooling towel they sell (amazon link here EnduraCool Towel...I've seen version at Five Below, Bed Bath Beyond, and local running stores). You just wet it and it cools...really refreshing. There was the period after birth where I guess hormones or something but I was literally dying after they first brought me to my post-partum room)

1. How far along are you? 17w, 2d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Yesterday I got a bunch of maternity hand-me-down clothes from a friend, so it's nice to have an expanded wardrobe of comfy clothes. Today I'm wearing full-panel maternity work pants for the first time, and they aren't as bad as I was thinking they'd be. I'm still looking forward to the weather warming up and being able to forgo pants for dresses.
3. Questions for the group? How much caution would you put into being around friends who traveled to Taiwan and Thailand? My concern is stemming from the coronavirus outbreak in certain areas of China, but it has spread to many other countries (including a case in WA state, where I live) due to international travel. Background info below:
Two friends who are in a book club with me will be spending about two weeks in Taiwan and Thailand, and will be flying back on Feb 15th - the next book club meeting will be on Feb 23rd, 8 days afterward. I'm guessing I need to skip the this month's gathering because the incubation period for coronavirus is 14 days (even 24 days according to some).
Were any of you pregnant during the SARS or H1N1 scares? I feel like since I'm pregnant I have to be extra cautious, even though it's likely my friends are probably going to be totally fine and healthy. I use public transportation on a regular basis and still go to public spaces/events, and just make sure that I wash my hands and avoid touching my face during any regular cold/flu season. I'm trying to figure out how ridiculous I'm being by avoiding this one event with friends.
4. What is your one MUST have baby product? Newbie FTP-to-be here, thank you for all of your suggestions

1. How far along are you? 34w
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Since I can't drink or eat the way I want (thanks, GD), my new vice is shopping for clothes for DD. I'm obsessed with treasure hunting at Once Upon a Child.
3. Questions for the group? If this is not your first baby and you don't have family living nearby, what is your plan for your older child(ren) when you go into labor? It's still up in the air whether I'll try for a VBAC or a repeat c/s, and we're having trouble deciding when my mom and/or MIL should fly in. I think MIL will be here by week 39 (she has a townhouse here), but I'm not sure what to do if I got into labor before that. I guess we'll have a friend on call?
4. What is your one MUST have baby product? Ooh, it's been so long since I've had a newborn and products have changed so much that I don't know what to say! A good nipple cream? Lol.

1. How far along are you? 10w1d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I had an appointment last Friday. Doctor gave me a big speech about all the dos and donts during pregnancy, and said that I'd only get 2 official ultrasounds unless more were specifically medically necessary (one of which I already had 3 weeks ago). Then he left the room for a minute, came back and said we could do a quick informal ultrasound since he had a few students. My baby looks more baby shaped now!
3. Questions for the group? N/a
4. What is your one MUST have baby product? Aden and Anais burpy bibs. I get them for every baby shower I go to. I love that they go around the baby's shoulders so they can't turn their head and puke.

1. How far along are you? 20w 2d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? This baby is moving like crazy and I am super awkward when surprised by said movements. Pregnancy is weird.
3. Questions for the group? n
4. What is your one MUST have baby product? First kid, so I have no clue. I will be reading the other responses.
I’m actually at home with baby now (and toddler is napping for the moment), been meaning to check in. Induction Monday morning went well, 2 doses of some cervix dilation drug (not cervadil) sent me into active labor and I got an epidural about 2.5 hours after those wore off (contractions did NOT wear off and I could have used the epidural sooner, but the anesthesiologist was tied up with an emergency C until then). Once the epidural kicked in they broke my water and started pitocin about half an hour after that. Baby girl was born after a small scare where she was decelling during contractions but putting an oxygen mask on me helped and it was only happening because she was all the way down the birth canal ready to exit.
I’ll have to figure out pictures, I think I have to do that from the app.
swiftlyirun Good luck!!! I hope you’re snuggling by now!
Pulled pitocin for the night and put in Cervadill(which they should have done when I checked in last night) hoping the cervadill does the trick.
I have to say this update makes me a little happy and frustrated remembering my own pitocin experience. Pitocin wasn't doing the trick for me but instead of trying anything else they went to c-section (only 6 hours after water breaking no distress to baby)
So I'm glad that they are trying other things with you!
