Doctor might not have actually vaccinated patients

I know I haven’t posted in a while, but I’m so upset. Our pediatrician was found dead last year. It just came out yesterday that it appears he forged immunization records and may not have actually been giving requested vaccines. WTF? He never seemed cuckoo to me and now I’m wondering how I missed it. Apparently he also forged records for parents that didn’t want to vaccinate. Guess we are off to get tested.

Oh the fucks. I would be very upset, too. I had a doctor who ended up having a disease that affected his brain. The last time I saw him, he said some completely inappropriate shit, after 10 years of seeing him with no issues, and was not long after relieved of his position, and died not long after, at a pretty young age, of the disease. I had recommended him to a friend, he was a specialist related to GYN cancer treatment, and he recommended that she have a hysterectomy at 32 years old. She did not, thankfully, and got a second opinion. Call the number, they will very likely help you a great deal, and make sure that the immunizations are handled correctly and you should not have to pay for anything, given what has come to light.

Doctors are people and some of them end up with serious issues, mental and physical, that affect patient care, just like the gen pop. Other doctors and nurses are not always the best at policing their own kind. I am still shocked that the nurse in the room with me, when the doctor I went to was saying the things he was saying, did not pipe up at all. She just sat there like it was normal to talk about the weird things he was saying, during a GYN exam, which among other things, included discussing porn.

Oh man I'm sorry... hopefully all of his former patients are able to get tested and re-vaccinated if needed. Not exactly the same, but my sister was adopted from another country and all of her vaccination records from the adoption agency's doctor overseas were forged (we suspect that the doctor injected saline and pocketed the money). It must happen somewhat frequently because the first thing her pediatrician here did was check titers on all of her vaccinations, and they all came back negative.

You should be able to have titers drawn to determine their immunity. I would expect the practice to cover the expense of that.

maybe it's different at other practices, but the few i've been to have had the nurses draw the needles and do the vaccinations. so i'm just having a hard time understanding the logistics of it.

At my practice, we don't have nurses at all; the pedi just gives the vaccines herself.

We got back our results. Noa has zero markers for immunity. None. I saw him give her shots. All of them. They are assuming it was saline. I am switching between being super pissed and super sad.

The IL Dep of Health issued a letter stating that all patients should be revaccinated for all diseases, except chicken pox and MMR, which depend on titer results.
