It’s like Love is Blind but instead of proposing, they vote each other off without seeing each other. Also, they’re allowed to catfish which backfires greatly. It’s entertaining but not Love is Blind entertaining.

Omg the two catfishes attempting to catfish each other was my favorite thing ever.
I’m late to the party and hardly ever watch TV, but I’ve been watching this show. It’s delightfully mindless and cringeworthy and just the ticket for forgetting about the real world. I’m on episode 6, trying to get caught up before the “reunion” on Thursday.
I'm so behind, but I just got to the super awkward party (in ep. 6 or 7) where Jessica throws herself at Barnett and Gigi gets into a fight with Damian. 😳
I can already tell very few of these people will stay together.

Watched the reunion (SPOILERS)
Favorite parts: -Loved Amber’s call out and Barnett’s face -Kenny talking about how awesome his relationship with his new gf is while Kelly is immediately regretting her decision - Diamond talking about pursuing her PhD - Mark is still a pushover but he’s such a good guy
I was not a fan of Diamond’s dress. She’s so cute and it did nothing for her. And Jessica looked at least 5 years older.
I opted out of an early morning PTA meeting to watch the reunion yesterday, no regrets. 🤣 Then, I spent a lot of time cackling at the Twitter feed mentioning the show: mobile.twitter.com/hashtag/loveisblind?f=live
It was a great distraction from politics and coronavirus this week, and for that I am grateful!
Don’t normally post over here but just discovered the show. I’m about to finish episode 5 and have such a different take on things!
I feel bad for Jessica. She has a ton of baggage. She’s emotionally unavailable and thus cannot be attracted to anyone who wants to interact at a deeper level. I don’t think it’s a maturity thing though since she very clearly dialed in to not being compatible with Mark very early on. She’s talking around that with him but doesn’t want to be the bad guy. I’m watching her looking for an exit ramp and cringing for her. It’s a self aware thing with her I think.
I don’t like Mark. Not one bit. He hears what she’s (badly) telling him but refusing to acknowledge it because of what he wants. He comes on too strong. *I* want to break up with him.
Kelly is very clearly not into Kenny. He occupies the space of “I like him, but I don’t LIKE him.” He is such a catch though so I hope he finds someone compatible. Kelly is such a hun - the health coach thing told me that immediately. I bet she jetted off to a Beachbody conference.
Barnett is a bro but seems to be in the process of maturing out of it. He needs more time. I couldn’t stand him in the pods but there were throwaway moments in episode 5 where I could tell that he has a good core to him. His problem is that he’s attracted to crazy and hasn’t reached a point where he can resist that temptation. Only a certain brand of crazy though - he definitely realizes he dodged a Jessica bullet.
GiGi annoys the hell out of me. I tune out whenever she’s on.
I feel bad got Jessica, too. She cares what other people think too much. She always pulls back from Mark after any group setting bc she's comparing their relationship, and she spends all her time worrying what others will think of their age. She's all about appearances, which ironically is probably why she got engaged in the first place. She's definitely the type that only posts super positive, super fake posts on social media.

She 100% is that person, lol. She can’t be authentic (shown by the sexy baby voice too). She thinks happiness is having a mom blog life but she doesn’t want to get vulnerable enough to have a relationship. The most telling thing for me was her saying that she had never had deep conversations like she had in the pods before - and she’s 34! She can not grasp that Barnett is attracted to authenticity instead of this “perfect” femininity she presented to him. I had a friend who was so much the same way with men she dated. She didn’t find out her (ex-)fiancée was a homophobe until *I* had a conversation with him. That still astounds me. They had been together 4 or 5 years at that point, I had been around him maybe a dozen times.
Lauren’s dad and Barnett’s brother/sister-in-law are the unsung heroes of the show so far.
Not reunion-related, but GiGi and Damian were in Access Hollywood last night. Damian looked like a deer in the headlights the whole time and GiGi looked perfectly comfortable. It made it pretty clear that she’s been angling for something like AH all along.

I think I read something that said if they said yes to the pod-prosal, they would be bound to see it through to an altar scene, and come what may of that. That would explain Kelly and Kenny and Jessica and Mark.
Every time Jessica nodded her head yes I just substituted it for a no, and then I could tell what she was really thinking, lol. That was definitely a square peg in a round hole situation and she did seem to be trying to make it work for some of it. But she kept saying she wasn't there, the other guy was so hot, the dress felt so wrong... It was so cringeworthy and her behavior was not admirable, but if she wasn't feeling it, she definitely should not have gotten married. That wouldn't have been fair to anyone. She could have handled it differently, but I can't fault her for that piece of it.
Though I did have to laugh that the ten years between her and Mark would have been totally insurmountable, but the seven years between and her and Barnett would have been AOK. Whut?

That drove me crazy too. I guess she was probably looking for reasons to not be with Mark, and maybe would have been the same with Barnett? Maybe? Letting her dog drink wine, and they drinking out of the glass afterwards was just too much for me. She was irredeemable at that point. lol But, I think she will find plenty of perfect men for her in LA - if being emotionally available is a red flag, it will be smooth sailing here, because that is not something you encounter often.
I did appreciate Amber calling her out on her shenanigans though. Usually reunion shows like this are more fake and show everyone is happy/friendly. I can imagine that seeing, on screen, the shit that Jessica was pulling a year and a half later would have me heated too.
It was a snore fest. No one can compete with Andy Cohen and the Real Housewives for a reunion episode. There were two parts I thought were interesting and it was:
I haven’t read the whole thread so this has probably been discussed but I was really sad about Diamond’s reaction to Carlton’s sexuality. I’ve been in his position and it would’ve wrecked me if my H responded like that.

Except Carlton had tons of time to tell her before meeting and didn’t. And when he did tell her, he didn’t even give her a second to process it. He freaked out on her.
But he did a very genuine apology to her on the reunion.

I thought she took it pretty well and came at it from a place of wanting to process it and ask questions. He is the one who got super defensive and came at her from a place of anger. He was irate that she didn’t take it well and lied to her that it was never a problem for other women, even though in his interviews he had said that it was always an issue.

Yes I feel these people are hoping to angle their way into reality show fame.
