Maybe I need another cup of coffee, but can someone explain what I’m missing here? I *thought* counter depth refrigerator meant it was the depth of the counter (!).
Why are counter depth refrigerators I’m looking at online having depths of 34” when the standard counter is something like 25? What am I missing? I just want a fridge that doesn’t stick out and take up more space than it needs to.

I think usually the "counter depth" part doesn't include the doors. For example, the body of the fridge would be about 24"-25", and then the doors/handles would extra depth.

Maybe they got the depth and width backwards? I know they have to stick out a little so the door can open all the way but that seems way too deep to count as a counter-depth fridge.
Counter depth refrigerators are shallower and wider than standard depth refrigerators, with a depth range of 23 to 27 inches.
