Can someone point me to a good book or online resource about skincare and make-up. I got really into learning to braid my hair and the curly girl method, so I’m looking for something similar to that but with skincare. Honestly, I’m not as interested in make up as I am in hair but I figure learning more about it won’t hurt. I’m not really interested in trendy or anything like that more just like a skincare bible. Like what ingredients to seek out and which to avoid? What are some very basic good products. There are too many to research on my own without a starting point.
waverly I did a lot of reading of Paula's Choice resources and Beautypedia. There is so much misinformation out there about skincare, it's hard to find one good resource to start with. Their resources definitely helped me.
The Ordinary’s website has a pretty good layout of explaining ingredients and what they do. Including how they should be used together and building a skincare routine. Prices are good to for trying things out.

I used both The Ordinary, Paula's Choice and one Youtuber (for Asian stuff - Gothamista - though she does other things too...really studies and explains things well).
