It sounds like several of you have air fryers. I’ve been considering taking the plunge for a while but just can’t decide on which one. Would you be willing to recommend what specific one you use and tell us what features you really like?
All the extra doo-dads for roasting are fun. We use the basket and skewers a lot. It inhabits the no-man’s-land sliver of counter between my stove and fridge in our galley kitchen.

We also have this one. My BF has a more traditional model that doesn't have racks and he says he wants the one my dad and I picked out, lol. We replaced a toaster oven with it, so the footprint isn't that different.
I will add 2 things where this model is a beast: meatballs and bacon. The 3 racks are awesome because I can make a whole batch of meatballs. If I'm making enough (turkey) bacon for the family, I also need 2 racks and it comes out soooo good.

Do you have to switch the racks? Their positions? I was reading up on the instant pot versions and it seems you have to do that with those.

pinkly, the only thing I've had to rotate racks for is when I make english muffin pizzas, and that's purely aesthetics to please my 6 year old. The cheese gets, "Moooom, it's too broooown," if I don't switch racks halfway through the cook time. For everything else, I just let it cook and don't switch racks.
I have this one too and it works great. I wouldn't go smaller than this 5.3 quart size. We're a two person household and I feel that this is just big enough. So many recipes call for cooking in batches and no way am I going to do that.
One of my favorite things to make is zucchini chips - slice a zucchini, dip the slices in egg and then seasoned bread crumbs, and air fry until it's brown and crispy. So good. And one medium zucchini just fits in this size.
Although I will say that if I were to buy one now, I would get the toaster oven style. That style was just coming out when we bought ours and they were still really expensive. And I wasn't even sure I would like this way of cooking, so I didn't want to spend too much. I think the oven style would offer more flexibility and it would be easier to get in there and flip the food. And you can't really pile the food up in the basket; it has to be in one layer. So the height of the basket is a lot of wasted space.

I have a recommendation. Whatever size you think you need, go bigger. Its never big enough!
We got a cute little red Dash 1.2L to match our other red appliances. The first thing I made was fried zucchini, and I had to make it in 4 batches. For TWO people.
