To be honest, I hope Biden gets the nomination, picks Abrams for VP, we never hear from Bernie again, Biden wins, Abrams then runs for President and wins in 4 years and we all live happily ever after.
I can get behind this.
I’m meh on Biden, but if he picks a strong VP nom like Abrams, then I’ll all in. I’ll pound the pavement for that ticket and let a volunteer stay in my house.

My goodness that sounds like a dream come true. I am almost certain Biden will be smart enough to have a WOC on the ticket. That is what I find most attractive about his candidacy. And I think that would be close to unstoppable.
It's disheartening to see how much impact just pouring tons of money into this process can have. And to think Bloomberg has spent over 400 million in ads already. Probably closer to half a billion or more by now. Ugh.
She just said she’s staying in until the convention. I’m not sure yet how I feel about it, although I appreciate that she isn’t willing to preemptively throw in the towel.
After a 2016, i can think of no good reason for any candidate to stay in until the convention unless its obvious that they are the nominee. I would love it to be Warren but its not looking great.
Yeah, that news does not make me happy. And I'm campaigning hard for Warren.

I believe in Warren, canvassed for her, and give money every week. But if she doesn’t at least come in second in a good portion of states on Super Tuesday, she needs to step aside. Let the choice going forward be clear cut, even if it is between two old white guys yet again. 😩

Are there Super Tuesday states that warren has been hitting hard and is expected to do particularly well in? Similar to Biden’s SC win, which he was never expected to lose, are there states that Warren is holding out for? It doesn’t seem like she’s capturing any particular demographic, but I haven’t been following where she’s spending most of her time/money.
Amy needs to drop, thank goodness Steyer did. But Warren is next on that list from a numbers perspective.
Also if Warren drops out and endorses Bernie, that is going to be a rough one.

She’s staying in until the convention IF no candidate has the majority of delegates, whether or not she’s in the lead, which seems like the right move. If Bernie clinched the nom, she’ll drop out. Unlike Bernie.
So with various people getting delegates here and there (Pete, Amy, etc) from these early states, if they drop out, where do those delegates go? I feel like we discussed this last election cycle but I can't remember how it works.
I saw someone on twitter say that Pete should drop out now while he still looks fairly good and that he should then endorse Biden. They said it's way more likely that Biden would give him a cabinet position and Bernie won't and Pete can then use that experience in a future campaign.
I doubt Pete will do that but it actually does seem like a good plan.
I’m so so happy that SC FINALLY changed the narrative that was going on. Iowa and NH need to end this first state thing. The base has spoken and it was no where near what the first two determined.
Like, Steyer got 12% of the votes tonight. Did that equate to some percent of SC's delegates? And since he dropped out immediately after these results, where do those delegates he earned tonight go?
ETA - I see now there was a 15% threshold to get delegates, so he and anyone below him didn't get any tonight. I'm still curious what happens to delegates already awarded to other candidates from the earlier contests if they drop out.
