Well, it sounds like he faces a minimum of 5 years, though obviously he could be released early and probably won't serve anywhere near that. One can hope though. I truly cannot understand how they didn't find him guilty of the other charges. Ronan Farrow should have been the prosecutor. His book was incredibly compelling.

Ahh my mistake. I had read in another article that he would have probation, up to 4 years in prison, but maybe that was just for one of the charges and not both.

Yes, the rape in the third degree charge holds no minimum and max of 4 years, but the criminal sex act in the first degree holds a minimum sentence of 5 years and a max of 25. At least, that's what the article you posted says. I don't know anything beyond that or if there have been sentencing recommendations yet.
I remember hearing on the radio that the jury was deadlocked on credibility of Anabella Sciora's testimony. After reading her experience in Ronan Farrow's book, that ,made me so angry. I'm mad that he wasn't convicted on all counts, but at least he didn't get away with everything. I hope he gets a long jail sentence.
It says he couldn't be convicted on all of the charges. I'm disappointed that after everything, he may be convicted but not serve jail time.
He will be doing a lot of time. There were ALOT of charges against him with the number victims included in the indictment. So don't count it out. That is very normal. His conviction alone will put him away for awhile.
I know it's silly of me to have reasonable expectations of Facebook commenters, but I am so annoyed how many people don't seem to understand this is not a federal crime. Trump can't pardon him and he's not going to a "country club" federal prison.
I read part of his statement at the sentencing. He still denys. He's such a pig. And he claims he wasn't powerful enough to do all this. OMG. I can't even.
I just finished Catch and Kill earlier this week. It's laughable to see what he's trying to claim now.
And I don't know about the walker specifically, but I've seen multiple reports that he's in poor health and that he had a heart procedure last week (not sure what the procedure was). He is 67 so wouldn't be surprising.
I was wondering about that too. I wouldn't be surprised if he's in poor health (he certainly looks it). I also wouldn't be surprised if he and his lawyers were exaggerating it in hopes of sympathy or special consideration.
Or maybe he was still doing okay as of Oct, but the stress of finally having to face consequences for what a POS he is just hit him like a freight train. I'm not sad about it!
I'm sure the walker's fake. It's the wrong size and he's using it completely improperly. If he actually had an unsteady gait he would fall on his face with the way he's using it.
Now if only we could get this same kind of justice for all rape victims.
Yes. It has not escaped my notice that this is a sentence imposed for a collection of offenses with more than one victim, and not even all of the ones presented.
Every person who has experienced rape deserves justice and very, very few actually receive it.
So, he does have genuine issues that I'm sure a walker is helping. But I have a HARD time believing that the walker he's using is really what a doctor would want him to use. I don't think walking hunched over is going to help him heal. But... I'm not a doctor. Maybe his back issues are that serious that this is how he is now- a hunched over, old, shitty man
