Our bedroom is in the top floor in a converted attic (loft conversation as they say in the UK). We have no storage space up here so I've hired a carpenter to put in wardrobes and drawers for our clothing. This is the first stage pic taken from his insta (and will be my wardrobe):
My Sister and Stepsister both moved into 150-ish year old farmhouses in the past couple of years. While my Stepsister has larger bedrooms, they don’t have storage so she’s had to put wardrobes in everywhere. The previous owners at my Sister’s place did amazing built-in wardrobes and cabinets and they are so useful and pretty. Those will be so useful and a fantastic selling feature down the road (assuming you ever want to sell and buy again after this!)
The carpenter has now put in the other wardrobe and the drawer system:
When I get home later tonight (going out to the theatre and dinner), the whole thing should be finished, with doors and all hung and filler/cleaning. We'll eventually paint them, but at least we'll have functioning storage in our room to start using this weekend! (And thus not bothering my brother & SIL every night to get clothing from the guest room).
