Even though realistically I expect either Biden or Sanders to win today, I still feel anxious about the results that will start to trickle in about 10 hrs from now.
I definitely haven't seen as many people dropping ballots at the box along my dog-walk route this year as in major elections, but that's a pretty imprecise measure.
It wasn't terribly busy at our polling place when we went past this morning, but there was steady traffic in and out. We didn't stop to vote then, but will later this afternoon.
I'm honestly torn at this point- I was all in for Warren up until a few days ago, and while my heart still wants to vote for her, my head is leaning toward Biden just because I cannot stand the idea of Bernie getting the nomination. I don't knooooow.
I’m pumped. I’m tired of being doom and gloom about this election. It doesn’t help anyone and there’s plenty of time for it in the coming months.
As I cast my ballot this past weekend (we’re a mail-in state), I couldn’t help but feel a trickle of excitement that maybe — just maybe — this is the first step to getting Trump out of office. No matter who the nominee is. And for a moment, I just want to enjoy that feeling as a reminder to keep the energy up.
I was at the PTA bake sale this morning. There was a decent crowd, comparable to the local elections we had in November. I still need to vote since my local elementary school is coincidentally not my polling place. I'm in VA and H and I are voting for Biden.
I was the only one at my poll when I went this morning, but I went at 9am so I imagine the pre work crowd had gone. I saw lots of Warren signs in the neighborhood this morning though.
I thought we voted today, but it’s the 10th. I’m very anxious to see how this week goes. A lot of our friends are for Warren too, so we’ll see if she makes it to next week.
I don't get to vote today, but I am so ready to see results. I feel like this will convince me whether or not Warren actually has a shot. Right now I'm still holding out hope about the fact that 96% of the delegates haven't been awarded yet.
I'm wearing my "Nevertheless we persist" shirt under my sweater at work today. I'll be the only one who knows, but I'm going to pretend I'm superstitious today.
My mom and one of my sisters, who were both Amy supporters, are voting for Warren today.

My other sister and my niece went out and knocked on doors for her yesterday in Texas. Hopefully seeing a cute little 2.5 girl hopefully campaigning for Warren made a couple of people think twice about counting her out.
H wasn't sure if he was going to vote in the primary, but with both Buttigieg and Klobuchar dropping out it put the choice in much starker contrast and he decided to vote for Warren. I could see lots of people similarly finding clarity with a smaller race.

We don't vote until May 19th! But one of my FB friends has been a fervent Bernie supporter since before 2016 and she and her friends are all posting about how the DNC is frantically working to deny Bernie the win. I so want to say something but I know I'll just get upset so I'm staying out of it.
I'm interested in seeing the final turnout figures.
Are there down-ballot primaries taking place today as well? Anyone interesting?
Texas has a bunch, most interesting will be for senate - the front runner is MJ Hegar (the bad ass pilot who had that great Doors ad in the last election when she ran for the house)
Keep in mind that (1) polls don't close in California until 8 PT, (2) the state is super slow with the counting, and (3) counting is going to be slower than usual because there's an unusually low number of early voting, which means an unusually high number of same day votes.
It'll probably be at least a few days, if not a few weeks before we know how the delegates get allotted.
Two major players dropping out of the race and endorsing Biden?
I forgot the endorsements were yesterday. Every day of this feels like a week.
Yep, it was the endorsements. She thinks that Biden may have promised Pete and Amy positions (and she had even heard about Beto) in the administration and since she likes them all she decided to change her vote.
Independent from my worry about how people are faring after the Nashville tornado, I'm concerned about the impact on the primary in Tennessee. That's an important constituency being affected.
