I got a light up makeup mirror and now all I can see are the dark circles under my eyes. 🤣 What do I do to cover up this shit? A couple of things:
I'm nearly 45. There are some fine lines.
I wear glasses.
My skin tends to be combo/oily but my under eye area is on the dryer side.
Any recommendations? I don't currently own a concealer - I'm assuming that's the first order of business? Or a color corrector? Do you layer these? What about foundation?
I like the Pixi peach corrector. I apply a small amount with my finger and blend it out with a beauty blender. I have dryer undereyes too and that melts on nicely. Still looking for that perfect concealer but I find less is more for application.
I use the Bobbi Brown corrector on top of my foundation. They also have a serum concealer version that was nice, but I'm generally dry so I've kept using the cream. I pat a small amount on with my ring finger, then blend using patting motions, then blend again with my beauty blender.

beetea, I realized this morning doing my makeup, I put my corrector on first, then foundation, then concealer and brightner. I'm using the TF peach powder right now, but also have the coverfx.
I use Hale & Hush Brilliant Eye & Lip Serum. I’m 42 and have been dealing with fine lines and dry skin around my eyes. I feel like since the day I tried it, that I don’t want to live without it. It has some reflective stuff in it too that helps with dark circles. I won’t use a concealer under my eyes unless I put some of the serum on first, because otherwise you can see the fine lines and it will get cakey looking because of the dry skin.
As far as a concealer, something with a peach tint to it will help with the dark circles. I use the Tarte cosmetics CC undereye corrector. I’ve also found that I have to use a different setting powder under my eyes than what I use on the rest of my face. I generally have oily skin. But the skin under my eyes dries out more now that I’m older.
