We are headed to Universal Hollywood during spring break (week after next). It will be a Wednesday/Thursday and the hours are 10am - 6pm. I can only find "how to do it all in one day" posts, but I'd love to hear some suggestions from people who have been there (it's our first trip).
Right now, I'm thinking of doing all HP one day getting there early, and the rest of the park another day. Does this seem reasonable? Any tips or tricks?
Have you already bought tickets? I ask because IMO it’s not a two-day park. It’s really not that big which is probably why you are only seeing one-day plans.
I absolutely love Universal. I have done one park per day and I have done passes to both parks on the same day (taking the HP train between parks). Which do you have ?
I’ll give recommendations on either plan.
You are going to have a blast!!
ETA: Also, are you staying at a Universal hotel (which one) and will you have line hoppers?

We went during Spring Break a couple of years ago. Mid-March on a weekday wasn't busy. We started with HP, did everything else (though we had been there before, so had a sense of which shows we liked), then did the HP rides a few more times. We got there at 10 and stayed until almost closing.

I have. I figured we can fill two days without rushing.
I'll just stick with the HP one day, the rest another.

I would just do all the things for two days. HP only has two rides, one of which is about 30 seconds long. I think we went on Forbidden Journey 3 times, Hippogriff ride twice, did spells with my wand, ate there, went in the shops, did almost every other ride in the park, and were done around 4:00.

I took my son before they had HP, and we did everything there in a day easily, no rushing. If you'll be there for two days no matter what, I'd probably see what shows they have going for both days/times. Then pick out what you want to see and plan your days around those. They don't have a lot of rides, and the ones they did have (then) were not really OHMANWENEEDTORIDETHATAGAIN! rides.
We spent the second non-Disney day at Knott's Berry Farm. Another one-day park, but we did some of the roller coasters several times.

HP will take less than half a day, easily. The only part I hate about it are the lines. If you get a ride hopper pass, you can do almost every ride in a day. We went for Christmas at Hogwarts and we struggled to fill the day until the light show, but that was just two adults. We ended up taking quite a few beer and snack breaks.
