The plane tickets are bought. We are leaving at the end of May.

I'm moving to northern Brazil with my 10 year old. It still feels really surreal.

And now I'm a little overwhelmed with all the pre-trip prep.

Actually, we moved two weeks ago. It was a whirlwind of decisions and changing tickets, but essentially, on a Tuesday, we booked tickets for the Wednesday. I rushed to get packed and we came. I was terrified they were going to close the borders right before I got here, but we were fine.

We are both so glad that I'm here. My fiance is military and working long days. I'm taking care of everything at home with the boys. We are in the process of enrolling my son in school here, they are doing online learning.
